Condolences
I knew Peter through the Calgary chapter of Olympians Canada that he was instrumental in establishing after volunteering in the 1988 Olympics in Calgary. To help foster a group and encourage them to meet tells alot about Peter's giving nature - there was nothing in this for him to gain, but he just felt it was right. In my mind the most memorable event he helped organize was having the group march in the Calgary Stampede 'Pre-parade' carrying a large Canadian Flag which the parade-goers decided was a great target to throw coins at, accidentally pelting a few of the flag-bearers in the process! Our sacrifice was worth it - the money collected paid for our lunch at the cafe afterwards!
He was an incredibly kind and gentle man, so friendly and calm as well. Judith obviously supported his time spent on projects like this, as no doubt he supported her in the same way.
My Condolences to you Peter Jr and your family on this great loss to you all.
I was saddened to read of Peter and Judy's passing in today's Herald. They lived a long and happy life. I am sure they will be missed. So sorry for your loss.
I regret not seeing them, and their family, for so many years.
I spoke with June Binns today and she sends her condolences along with mine.
With love,
