Condolences
My deepest sympathies to Norm's family, I was truly saddened to learn of his passing. I had the privilege of working with Norm while I was at Alliance Pipeline, a company that Veresen owned. Norm was so supportive and helpful to me and my Treasury team, openly sharing with us his experience, vast knowledge and broad contacts in the financial community. While officially working in separate companies, Norm always treated us as a valued part of the team and his support helped us get through many challenges. Norm's engaging style was paired with a genuine interest in getting to know you personally. It was very clear through our many casual interactions that Norm also carried great pride in his family and fondly shared many family adventures. A highly respected man who will be missed.
My deepest sympathies to Irene and the family. I worked closely with Norm for six plus years at Veresen and got to know him well and very much appreciated his deep understanding of finance and his support as he took me under his "wing" and introduced me to his many strong relationships in the Calgary oil and gas community. He took great pride in his work and seemed to be at his very best when there was a difficult acquisition or financing to complete. It was not all work with Norm though and I thoroughly enjoyed the odd round of golf and a few pints of beer to reflect on politics, family and shared experiences. Norm was most excited when he spoke of his family and the great times he enjoyed with them in his vacation home in Mexico. I encourage everyone to "live like Norm..."

I am deeply saddened to learn of Norm's passing. I met Norm on my first day at Fort Chicago Energy Partners (later "Veresen") in 2006 and we worked together for the ensuing 10 years. He was a trusted colleague, a mentor to many of our finance professionals, and a friend. My sincere condolences to Norm's family and loved ones.
Very saddened to learn of Norm’s passing. I worked with both Norm and his father at TD. Norm and I had lots of fishing tales to spin. A wonderful person and my thoughts are with Irene and all of Norm’s family.

I am saddened to hear of Norm’s passing. My condolences to his family. During the years Norm was in a senior role at TD, I was his counterpart at Scotiabank. In my many dealings with Norm I found him a very knowledgeable banker/financier, he was a worthy competitor and/or a trusted partner depending what side of the fence we were on for a particular situation, a true professional, and a friendly fun man when he was not wearing his game face. He will be missed in the meeting rooms and +15s of downtown Calgary.
We were so saddened to hear the news about Norm, many great fun memories. Thoughts and prayers with all the family

I worked with Norm for ten years or more at TD in Calgary. Norm was extremely well connected and respected in the downtown business community. He was a good guy to work with - knowledgeable, soft spoken, a good listener and a strong supporter of the business and his colleagues. Norm treated everyone with kindness and respect. It just seemed to be part of his DNA. My sincere condolences to his family and close friends. The world has lost a good man.
