Condolences
We were so sad to hear that Peter passed away. He was a wonderful man; kind, caring and committed to his friends and family. He spent many hours with our family and especially my mother who was in the same Senior's home as him. Peter was committed to keeping fit, walking and he loved to talk about his Austrian heritage. Some of our favorite times with him were at the Austrian Club where he thoroughly enjoyed the traditional cuisine. We were always impressed that he had a plan when he went there and he never forgot his doggie bag--another way to have another Austrian meal. It was such a pleasure to be with him on those days.
April, I know you and your family will miss him dearly but I also know that you have many wonderful memories that will sustain you in the coming days. I hope that you find lots of time to resurface them with your mother in the coming weeks.
Your obituary was beautiful and I especially love the quote out of his fortune cookie--truly this is the kind of man that Peter was and it was definitely who he wanted to be. I hope he had a wonderful birthday celebration today even if it was not with us!
