Condolences
Bronwyn Christensen neé Hotston has just told me of Stu’s death. I knew Stu at Chichester High School for Boys. I was friends with Barry Shoesmith and my mother worked with Barry’s father at Penfold’s in Barnham. Pat Shoesmith married Stu before they emigrated to Canada. Stu was a great athlete at School and made the pole vault his sport at a time when it was unknown in school sports. He was greatly admired as a Prefect and a model scholar.
Just learned of the passing of Stu Robbins.
I met Stu a few times over the years at functions held at his son Steve's ,during my employment with the University of Calgary with his son.
A very gentle kind soul
My sympathies go out to Steve and the family for their loss.
I just learned of Stu’s passing. I took several phys ed classes from him at the UOf A in the mid 60s he was a wonderful man and a fantastic mentor. A true example of what a man should be he was a great influence on the young people whose lives he affectedMy condolences to his family
An amazing mentor when I was in his class at York University. You are fondly remembered.
Very sorry to hear of Stu's passing. I was a student at York University in the 90s and Director Robbins was a very respected and "available" individual. He left a lasting impression on me on how people should be treated. Condolences for Stu's family and friends.

My deepest Sympathy to Steve and Donna and grandchildren and all other family. Stu is one of my favorite people I encountered in the United Church of Canada. I had no idea he and his beloved Pat did not live here for years. He seemed like a 'fixture' in church work. He was a wise and practical man with a great laugh and sense of humour. He was a great leader and made a huge difference in people's lives. I first met him at Calgary Presbytery when he was involved with Students and Education. Then personally when I was hired by a church and he helped all the staff to come to an awesome workable understanding of Team Ministry that was the envy of many in the AB?NWT Conference. May Stu and Pat be kicking up their heels in Heaven Thank you good and faithful servant! Wilma Clark
I remember when Stu and Pat first came to St. Thomas United Church. Stu wanted to get really involved in the United Church in Calgary. What a find for us. Stu was a wonderful person, and I always enjoyed a chat, a laugh, and sometimes his sermons, when a volunteer was needed. Stu and Pat had to be two of my favorite people, and we will miss them both dearly. Our condolences to the family and friends of Stu Robbins.
Dear Steve, Donna; Hayley, Chelsea and family,
We are heartbroken to hear about the passing of Stu and Pat. They were our wonderful neighbors for about 10 years on Hampshire Grove. We had them over after they moved to Point McKay one Christmas, but sadly did not stay in touch. They were the loveliest couple. I enjoyed my walks and tea with Pat and always thought that their dog Chance was so fortunate for enjoying so many daily walks with Stu.
Our deepest sympathies for your losses and please know that Pat and Stu touched our lives and will be fondly remembered by our family.
Warmest Regards, Graham, Lesley, Kevin, Jillian and Gregory Towill
