Obituary of James Henry Wilfred PAGE

June 3, 1934 – Kenora, Ontario October 10, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta Jim Page, beloved husband of the late Helen Page (nee Klement) of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the age of 83 years. Jim served for thirty-five years as a firefighter with the City of Calgary. When he wasn’t fighting a fire, he was busy moonlighting as a delivery driver for the Hudson Bay Company. Jim enjoyed bowling, golfing, cooking, gardening and working around his home. He was an avid and talented woodworking-hobbyist and enjoyed many seasons as a Calgary Stampeders and Calgary Flames season ticket holder. Jim is best described as a dedicated, helpful, and patient man. Jim is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Tracy and Jamie Gallant; his grandchildren, Allison and Kevin Gallant, all of Calgary; his brother and sister-in-law Ed and Jenette Page of Armstrong, BC; his sisters-in-law, Georgina Page and Margaret Gould; his in-laws, Elizabeth Szmolyan, Leslie Klement, George Klement; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as the Southcentre coffee group who were such a big part of his everyday life. Jim was predeceased by his parents; his loving wife Helen; his siblings, Bill Page, Marjorie Loewen and Fred Page; and his brothers-in-law, Charles and Johnny Klement. His family would like to thank everyone that helped make this a gentler journey. Their presence was always felt and so greatly appreciated. A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
