Condolences
Hello Marg:
Most saddened to read of Lew's recent passing, and so want to convey my sincere condolences. Will always keep very fond memories of happy dinners in Palm Springs with you both and other late friends.

Hi Marg, Bonnie. and Hugh; So sorry to hear of Lew's passing. We first met when he joined Pan American and he was sent out from Calgary to help with a small gas plant problem that we were having in the Drayton Valley area (1967). From there we re-met at a salmon fishing area called Hakai. It seems to me Hugh joined us out there for several summers. I think Lew and I eventually joined the lodge and became members of "The Hakai Land and Sea Society" For many years we met there with a Calgary Group and thoroughly enjoyed our many summer fishing trips. I learned a lot about salmon fishing from Lew and of course I learned a lot about Lew as we both went thru the Prince Albert Collegiate Institute ( Lew a few years ahead of me ). Then we both wound up attending the engineering school at the U.of S., so we had a lot in common and even more having spent some 30-40 years in the Canadian and U.S. oil industry. Lew was a great fishing partner and in the years following, we moved over to the west side of Vancouver Island, to Nootka Wilderness Lodge, where I believe you joined us Marg. and continued to do our annual fishing trip.
It's with great sadness that I noticed Lew's obit. in the paper, as he was a great fishing partner and we landed a great many fish together and always enjoyed our partnership. With Great Sadness. Lindsay Milne
Marg and Family,
I was sorry to hear of Lew's passing. I will always remember his warm smile and engaging laugh. As a family, we visited you in Pincher Creek once or twice. I remember the exotic places you and Lew visited - Las Vegas included - and the stories about the parties up at Ollie & Ivan Terrell's cabin.
I will never forget his kind and gentle manner and his warm sense of humour.

Dear Marg and Family,
I'm sad to hear of Lew's passing. I worked for him in the early 70's; he was supportive, kind, caring, inclusive and fun. I really enjoyed my time working with him.
My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Lee Anderson (Slipp)
