Condolences
Please accept the belated condolences from Karen & myself on Robert's passing. We are clients from many years ago.
So sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. He was not only my boss at one time in Spain but a good friend. My sympathy to Yvonne and family. May our Lord bring comfort to all.
I am sorry to read of the passing of Bob Pollock and offer my condolences to Yvonne and family.
I met Bob when we played together on two of the three Huskie Football teams he played for. Bob was a positive and outgoing member of our teams. I believe he married Yvonne who lived on my street in the Strathern neighborhood of South Edmonton so I saw him often picking up his date.
Bob attended one or both of the last Huskie reunions for the 1954 -1960 teams. It was a grand meeting with over 65 players from the different era's in attendance. Bob was a proud of being a Huskie as I have been. It was truly a memorable experience with lifelong friendships.
Attached are two photos from one of our reunions. Bob is surrounded by Dick Scotnicki a teammate, Norm Kimball ( Huskie Coach 1959 - 60) and Leo Superstein teammate.
The second is of Bob and Glynn Wynn (1958.)
We will miss bob's good humor and ever present smile.

We were saddened to hear the news of Bob's passing. Our thoughts are with Yvonne and the entire extended family as you work through this time of grief and separation.
Bob was a classmate of our father, Fred Greaves, at the U of A where they became friends as well as classmates. Grandma and Grandpa Pollock were part of the package that friendship with Bob and Yvonne brought The entire Pollock family were extremely kind and supportive of our parents as our Dad dealt with a health scare while in University with both Bob and Grandma Pollock supporting our parents while Dad was paralyzed in hospital.
On a personal note, Uncle Bob was my namesake as well as being my Godfather. I was proud to advise people in the worldwide oilpatch that I was named after him and, when people understood the relationship, there were always kind words or stories that came back. He even forgave me for working at Schlumberger for a few years.
He was a great guy who had an impact, both professionally and personally, far beyond his roots in Alberta. The best testament to his life are the names of the kids, grandkids and great grandkids who had the chance to know him.
God bless you, Yvonne, and the extended family. All our love.
Robert (Bob) Greaves on behalf of Aline and Freddie, Susan, Linda and Tom.
Yvonne and family,
We wish to extend our deepest sympathies on Bob’s passing.
We will be forever grateful for the efforts you and Bob made to welcome us to Aberdeen, and we will always cherish those times. Bob had tremendous love for his family, was an icon of the oil and gas industry, a treasured mentor to many (including Rod) throughout his career, and a friend to all.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely,
Rod and Karen Maier
My condolences to you Yvonne, and the family.
Bob was my Manager in Aberdeen and London. He was the best manager I had the privilege to work with and a friend during my 42 years with Halliburton.
Bob was kind, considerate, thoughtful, his door was always open, he always made time for you, was a great listener and sense of humor. Bob was my hero as he pushed and challenged me at work, a great leader, and Boss as we affectionately called him.
I was blessed to have Bob and Yvonne in my life.
God bless
Marie Adams
My condolences to the family of Bob, it is so sad to hear of the passing of Bob.
So sorry and shocked to hear of Bob's passing. Came to know Bob and Yvonne at their southern home in Indio, California. Always a gentleman and so smartly dressed. Bob served on our Board of Directors and was always friendly and in good spirits.. He will be missed. Shirley and Stan Allen
My condolences to you, Yvonne, and family at this sad time.
Libya was where I started my 31 year career with Halliburton & that's where I would've first met Bob on one of his visits. A gentle and upright man who always had a comforting smile - that's the imprint I was left with after having worked in both the Madrid Division office as well as the Calgary Head office.
Bob was my first boss when I started my career with Halliburton in the Madrid Testing Pool back in 1981.I'm deeply saddened by the news of his passing. He was a great leader, and a fine human being.
Yvonne and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. May your wonderful memories comfort you. I first met Bob 63 years ago when I started dating my husband George. He was very excited for me to meet his good friend Bob for coffee. They had gone through school together and spent summers playing ball and sleeping in “the tent” on the “Pollock acreage”. Over the years I have witnessed the close bond, seeing George look to Bob for advice and encouragement when he followed Bob into the engineering profession. We have shared many happy times with the Pollock family, e.g. weddings, weekends at Pigeon Lake, holidays time in Palm Springs, and being their house guests in England. Also, the late night visits eating pizza when Bob came through Sarnia on business. Our children always thought of Bob as “the fun guy”. Although George can no longer communicate his thoughts and feelings, I am so glad we got to enjoy that last cup of coffee with Yvonne and Bob when we were last in Calgary. We will miss his laugh, big smile and positive approach to life. It is comforting to know, we will be greeted by his big smile when we enter the gates. In the meantime RIP our wonderful friend.

I was a young DST hand working in the Madrid division for Halliburton when I met Bob. I do not recall his title at the time but he was the region manager or above at the time. I recall that he was very easy to talk to and showed genuine interest in me and what I was doing for the company. Bob had a great reputation inside Halliburton, he was the type person/leader that inspired people. Safe travels Bob.
Dear Yvonne,
We were so sorry to know of Bob's passing and wish to send you and your family our sincere sympathy. We will remember Bob for his friendliness and always seemed so happy to meet and greet you. Keep all your good memories close during these sad days.
We will remember all the Pollock families with love.
Doug and Barbara Baldwin.
I felt very honored to know Bob and become a family member when I married his little brother, Jim. From the very first time I met Bob he welcomed me warmly, starting with taking me to a gala event at Spruce Meadows when hearing I was passionate about horses. He was a kind and caring person who was interested in everyone he met and made everyone around him feel special . I will always treasure my favorite memories of his fabulous margueritas watching the beautiful sunsets from his deck in Indio. Rest in peace dear brother in law. Keep making those margueritas. We will sit together someday drinking them and watching beautiful sunsets. Love you forever, Wendy E Pollock
