Hugh will be missed by my wife and I as well as all our Barbershop community. We never sing "Honey Little Liza" without thinking of this as his song and fond memories of his great bass voice. We enjoyed so many great songs as members of Gold quartet.
Very Happy that I visited my Uncle Hugh in June 2019. We had a good time together and it had been a very long time since we had seen each other. I have good memories of going on car long rides with my Uncle Hugh and Aunty Shirley, we did a lot of singing on those car rides. I have a lot of good memories. I will miss you Uncle Hugh, Debbie
Hugh and I first met when I joined the Stampede City Chorus in the late 80’s . My first impression was one of a caring guy who never left me alone for a minute as I was so intimidated by the things the guys did on stage. Hugh encouraged me and got me through that initial scary stage. From there we moved on to a very close friendship full of great times, singing baritone in the initial GOLD quartet. Hugh was full of life and thrived on bringing joy to people with his deep bass voice. I’ll miss him terribly and never forget the joy he brought to my life. God Bless him, may he find peace
