Condolences
Marian, I was just talking of your mom today. She was in the same care place as a relative of mine at scenic acres. I saw your mom a few times before she moved.
Such a great human.
What a wonderful difference one single life made.
Best, renate
To Allen and All the Family:
Sorry to learn of your Mother's Passing.
So many years she has shared with all of you. A living Blessing!
Each day pull out a memory and remember the Joy you experienced as Family.
My Sincere Sympathy in your time of sorrow.
Allen, I am so pleased that we had the opportunity to meet recently and hear about your family and all family members. Many years have passed since meeting your Mom & you young children as school mates with my girls.
Sincerely

Lieber Allen, liebe Familie Smuszko,
In stiller Trauer

Dear Allan, Brent, Jerry and Mary Ann,
I would like to convey my condolences to you and all of your relatives.
I often remember my first visit to Canada in 1995 and the overwhelming hospitality from all of you, especially your mother Maria. We had a lot of fun together.
Greetings and hugs.
In silent mourning
Renée Bohm
My sincere condolences on the loss of your Mom. My childhood is full of delicious memories of our Saturday morning drives to the Stadium bakery for apple strudel. Any time we buy an apple slice from any other bakery we still comment that it’s never as good as Stadium’s! Sending our prayers to you and a thank you to Maria for the wonderful memories,.
I Love you Auntie Maria! My Love with you Always!!
Our hearts are broken at the passing of our sweet Riechen. After losing both our Mother’s in the past 15 months, Bob and I were comforted to know that we still were blessed with Maria’s presence in our lives. Even though she had lost so much through the course of her illness, she was still the sweet, kind woman she had always been. She has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. She lived with us when we were small children and Rosalie and I loved nothing more than to spend the day with her and her growing family when Mom and Dad went to work. Her children are our sister and brothers, her grandchildren our nieces and nephews. We will always remember the times we all shared: the Sunday get togethers, the birthday parties, Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving feasts, picnics in Banff, camping trips in Radium and Penticton and other special times too many to mention. Riechen was the most humble, kind and generous person you could meet. She would give you the clothes off her back, the last dollar from her wallet and if you needed it, a roof over your head. She helped countless people begin a new life in Canada. She never complained about the hardships she endured and always turned to her faith in her times of need. Bob and I will always hold her in our hearts and are comforted to know that she is reunited with Uncle Walter and so many in her family that went on ahead of her. I know my Mom was waiting for her best friend and card partner, I can picture the two of them catching up over a game of crib! Rest In Peace, my little Vaesche! With our deepest sympathies to all of you, Bob and Susie
