KJ and Ate Jane are the first 2 people we met as me and my son landed in Canada in our first few hours here. She joined my husband in expressing her excitement and happiness as we are finally united as a family at last. KJ took our first family photo and joined us in our first family dinner at the food court. She was so joyous and full of excitement as she tells me about her good friend Aileen ( we haven’t met her yet at the time); That she is such a great buddy in exploring Alberta’s Rockies.
She helped me prepare some decorations as we celebrated our son’s 6th birthday in their home. She cuts and designs my son’s name. Ate Jane and KJ opened their homes to us as we are a total strangers to Canada. Made us feel loved, belong and introduce us to their friends.
As we visited her 3 weeks ago and a night before her last admission; she was so full of life, chatty, brave and full of hope. It made me admire her that with all the things she experienced; she is still vibrant and full of joy. We hug each other before she goes back to her room.
You will always be remembered KJ; your genuine smile and infectious laugh. We are here to keep on checking on your Mom and Jan.
Rest now in the hands of the Lord.
Cezar, Mich and Geo
I first met Khrys when I had to take a photo of her because she was awarded the employee of the month. I vividly remember her sweet, sweet smile. It was a great first encounter and she struck me as someone who is full of life.
Thank you Khrys for teaching and inspiring me to be brave, to have faith and trust in God in facing life’s trials. Thank you for the friendship and showing me to live life to the fullest. Love you!❤️
