Condolences
... The way we'd greet you like Ian Turpy calling an audience member down to camera for the price is right :) Always there for people Duane; I leant on your shoulder many a time, work night visits were all the better when you were on duty. Rest easy mate.
My favourite memory of Duane:
Walking from bar to bar in the streets of Bath, UK, two boys smashed a window to a shop front. Duane & I instantly took off down the street after them and Duane called the police at fill tilt. The boys tried to lose us by turning down a side street and eventually into a car park with no other exit. It must be noted here that only Duane was chasing the boys who smashed the window, I was chasing Duane to make sure he was ok... which he was. We shared many laughs but he was so much more than the comedy. I'll miss you mate.
hi aunty an uncle from our family to yours our deepest condolences an big hugs wish I could be there
Man, the more I think about it the more it hits me. You helped me through so much and made it all so much fun. I can remember so many moments that were just pure comedy and it was your infectious talent. Thanks for your guidance and words of wisdom: 'Yes, you can boil water in a microwave, but, just because you can, doesn't mean you should'. Peace and love to everyone. Joe.x
I met Duane when working for Beds and Bars. We went on the sailing trips together! They were so much fun, and that was down to Duane for the energy and laughs and personality that he always brought! Him and I cooking lamb for dinner one evening, trying to assure him that lamb was a baby sheep, not a female sheep, is probably one of the funniest memories I have, ever! And although I haven’t seen him since he moved back home, I can’t believe he’s no longer with us. I hope he’s found peace. Rest easy Lamb, Ais xxx
I have so many memories of Duane and all of them make me smile. He was such a great guy to work with, always ready to cheer you up with a joke or funny story. He was really supportive of me when I first started and helped me navigate the office politics. I'll always remember his kindness and his humour. It's really sad to lose such a great guy so early. I know he will be missed.
Dear all, I don’t know where to start or which memory to chose when I think of Duane. We worked together at Beds and Bars and travelled together to our sites in several countries. We trained and took care of our colleagues as People Managers. What a special Duane sense of humor he had! He was very caring and helped me develop. He helped many people develop and had a great and true impact on many peoples lives. We had a lot of fun in the snow during our company’s ski trips! Did he like a good party and the snow! One of his goodbye parties when he decided to move on from London was at the London Eye, a big Ferris wheel, we drank champagne and had a great party. And I say 1 of his goodbye parties as he had so many friends that he had several goodbye parties when he left London. Many of us have stayed in touch with him over the past years.
I wish you peace dear Duane.
And I wish family and friends strength.
We will love Duane and remember him in his very special Duane way.
Love,
Karin from the Netherlands
I wake this morning to this Devastating news !
I think of Duane often, he was chosen by my late wife Franca to continue to run out training program, she had the confidence he would run it with the same heart she had. He did so successfully ! He took the company threw IIP revaluation. Footsteps is, and will continue with us in the development of our people. It has taken so many to great heights in our industry.
I can’t believe he is gone so young !
Live your life Duane xxx
We had so many great times working together at St Christopher's in Bath, England. We had a great little family there. Duane was a great friend, a fabulous boss and I will miss him dearly xx - Bones xx
One of my favorite memories of Duane is when he spend an entire day touring me around London. He had so many things he wanted to show me, we must have walked at least 20km. He refused to stop until we saw everything. It was a really great day.
