Obituary of Duane Allan Vanner

On Friday July 30, 2021, Duane Allan Vanner of Cochrane, AB, passed away at home.
Duane had a good heart and an intrepid spirit. His work in the hospitality industry and love for travel took him to so many different places and countries. His family looked forward to his weekly calls from Australia, the Philippines, England – or wherever he might be – to hear his latest travel tales. He loved skiing, swimming, kayaking and exploring.
Duane had his struggles in recent years, but at his core he was a kind and generous person – a good son, a good brother and a good friend.
Duane is survived by his parents, Doug and Fern Vanner; his brother Ryan Vanner (Tracy Block Vanner); his nephews and niece, Jackson, Harrison and Georgia; his grandmother Kay Vanner; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Cochrane, 369 Railway Street, Cochrane, AB), on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Vanner's service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted.Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
