Condolences
Jim - very sorry to hear of your loss.
Peace to you, your dad, and your family.
Sincere regards,
Brenda Towler
Uncle Bob was always that man who was "larger than life". He came a long way from his early days in Miniota. We looked forward to his visits and Grandma Dickie so looked forward to seeing her "wee man" as she called him. Imagine the surprise at the Nursing Home where she spent her last few years when he walked through the door. Staff was expecting a "wee" man and this 6 foot something walked in. She talked of him often. I think Dad felt a little bit of competition whenever Uncle Bob appeared and the two men would discuss the pros and cons of this trailer or that motor home. I am so sorry that his life at the end was not very pleasant but we don't really get to chose how our life will play out. It is very comforting to think of Uncle Bob , Aunt Maud , and Mom touching base again. We're thinking of you all and share your sadness.
I have such fond memories of Uncle Bob. This morning my phone visit with Aunt Gladys brought many of them flooding back. From a family trip to Uncle Bob and Aunt Gladys' home in Calgary as a very young girl, to the memories of their spotless motor home and their many visits to Manitoba that we looked forward to.
Rest in Peace Uncle Bob. I know you are with Mom, Aunt Jean and Gramma Dickie.
