Condolences
Dear Dawn, Christine, Bill, Sharlene and your families,
Words are not enough to express my condolences on your loss nor describe how wonderful your Mom was. She really was a safe haven for me in some tough times growing up. Making sure we were safe, cared for and always fed (macaroni & tomatoes and endless tea!) was her focus. She burned brightly, always with a kind word and real hugs that helped mend many a bruised heart. Her sense of humour and impeccable comedic timing was unmatched - I remember a very, very clean household full of laughter and love. I know I was not the only one who felt like part of the family because that’s how she treated everyone. I hope you can take comfort in the legacy of kindness and the happy memories she leaves to live in on so many hearts.
With deepest sympathy and much love,
Lisa Degenstein and family

A mother's love is always with her children. Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. But her goodness, her caring, and her wisdom live on-like a legacy of love that will always be with you. May that love surround you now and bring you peace.
Thinking of you all in this sad time in your lives

My deepest condolences to Shar, Bill, Chris and Dawn and the extended family in the loss of a special mom, grandma and friend.
Mooney and I have been friends for many years and shared many times together - birthdays, Christmas and everyday occasions.
Our phones were a blessing to us as we chatted most days.
Mooney had a great sense of humour and I always said it was the "Irish Wit" in her.
Mooney, my friend I will miss you... Love Marion
Sharlene dear, heartfelt condolences to you and your family in the loss of your mom.
Thinking of you and sending love from Auntie Alice
We’re so very thankful to have had a visit with Mooney and Bill during our last trip to Calgary sharing many laughs and memories of our time together as neighbours raising our young families many years ago. Since moving to Nova Scotia, we kept in touch with phone calls and cards. She was a dear friend who will be missed. Our sincere condolences and love to Billy, Sharlene, Chrissy and Dawn and all of the family.

After the birth of our 2nd child, the only way they would let Michelle & baby Michael come home is if we had help at home, Suzanne was only 2 years old. Aunt Mooney offered to help Michelle look after our little ones while I was at work! So every day before work I picked up our dear aunt in Willow Park, & drove her up to our house to be with Michelle,Suzanne, & baby Michael. Then we had supper, & I drove her home. For over two months the Love, care and attention that was given to us ( and countless cups of Tea) is a special memory of what a loving, caring, special person our Aunt was to so many!
Love, thoughtful Prayers & hugs to all her friends and Family.

Mooney & I met when we were in our teens in
Regina & remained friends through the years.
We shared Happy & Sad times together, I’ll
miss my yearly trip to Calgary & our many phone calls…i remember my first solo visit to your new home after my husband of 45 years passed & you said park in the garage & I
was almost in when you hit the garage door
closure & my poor car had a new dent all across the back trunk, both our mouths fell open…
We had lots of laughs & good meals together
I loved cooking for you I usually made extras
for you to have…like potatoe pancakes &
when I called the next day she said I ate them
all for dinner last night…how come she never gained weight??? This was every time I came to Calgary (I live in Edmonton)…I love cooking & baking & always took sugar cookies & homemade buns or bread…oh
how I’ll miss you Dear Friend…There’s a new
Bright Star in the Sky…
Rest in Peace Mooney
