Obituary of R. George FERGUSON

It is with sadness the family of George Ferguson announce his death on Monday, August 2, 2021.

For the past two years, he had stoically battled a succession of health challenges. Born in Montreal in 1953, George was the son of Adele Ferguson and the late Russell Ferguson. He will be missed by his mother, his brother Ian, sister-in-law Marion and his adoring nephews, Brodie (Emily) and Ross. After graduating from Trinity College at U of T, George moved to Alberta where he joined Esso Resources. He retired from Mobil Exxon in 2020 with over 40 years of service. George was a kind, generous and gentle person who thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved jazz music and was a voracious reader. George was an avid student of current events, with an astonishing knowledge of a wide range of topics. His family would like to thank the staff at Amica Britannia in Calgary where he was well cared for with love and support.
