Condolences
Sorry to hear of Danny's passing . He had his passion for cars for sure. Also remember when I was younger. To me he was the cool one. Our Condolences to you all.
My deepest condolences to Dawn and the family. We are all saddened by the passing of Dan. I have worked with Dan for over 30 years. He was always there for you when you needed help. So skilled in many different ways. From sheet metal, to welding, working on cars and knowledge about anything mechanical. Dan was one to go the extra mile to take care of anyone. We are all deeply saddened for your loss.
Scott, Braden and the Williamson family.

You were a BIL I won’t forget....you were a good husband to my sister and we loved you a lot. You did many things for us over the years and you even taught me to drive many many years ago in your old station wagon. I’m sorry you had to go through what you went through. Hope you and Mom take care of each other until we can join you.
We will take care of Dawn until then! Love you!
Sincere Condolences to Dawn and the entire Hunt family, I am very sorry for your loss.
I first met Dan back about 1975, and we had a instant friendship because of our love of Chevy cars and drag racing. Dan was a man of many talents, his race car fabrication skills and tin work was second to no one, and he helped me many times on my own cars. We enjoyed lots of racing adventures together including road trips. One trip in particular was going to race Dans Chevy II at Pomona Ca Winternationals in 1979, the stories while traveling were endless, and I loved his dry sense of humour. Dan was a fierce competitor in S/G racing and his driving abilities were feared by all in that very competitive class. We did lots of car stuff together over the years and he was always the first person to lend a hand when needed.
A true friend he will be missed.
Dawn and Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of Danny. He was never far from my mind. I remember, when he told a younger me,"Diana, never buy a Ford". To this day, I never ever bought a Ford. Another time, he was teaching me how to drive a stick shift. That didn't go well. The car quit. Don't know if it was me or the cars fault. For me, he was as cool as James Dean.Take care Dawn, let me know if I can help in any way.
Di (Diana) D.
Dawn,
I’m deeply sorry to hear about the passing of Dan.I ran into him earlier this spring at the post office - we joked and laughed about this and that, and as usual we ended talking about cars and some future projects he had in mind.It always made my day bumping into Dan and just catching up with what was new with people we knew from years ago l am really going to miss him,my deepest condolences to you,Dawn and his family. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you..!
Yours truly

I was saddened to hear of Dan's death. I worked for many sheet metal companies with him, and always enjoyed his company and the occasional sarcasm..He was an excellent tinman, especially in mechanical rooms. " hey Phil, we're pals , you know", was a short phrase he'd throw out randomly. Of course, his car freakism was a joy to behold, a drag racer to the core. I will miss him and he was a pleasure to know.
Saddened and surprised to hear of Dan's passing Dawn, our condolences to you and the family. Gone before his time for sure.
Dan was my "right hand man" on many construction projects over the years, always dependable where ever we went.
Surprised to see him referred to as, "Danny" !!
Many years back on a work site some one called out, "hey Danny" which he quickly responded, "no body calls me Danny" not even my mother !
Sorry not able to see Dan at our annual "Old Timers Night" held in the Wainright Hotel in Heritage Park. Sponsered by The
"Sheet Metal Contractors Asssociation of Alberta", always good to see fellow trademen there. Covid 19 put that on Hold.
I will certainly miss him.
Regards,
Lloyd and Joyce Manning, Cochrane, AB
My condolences to you, Dawn. Thank you for the beautifully written obituary. He was indeed a man of few words and a dry sense of humour and will fondly be remembered for having these qualities. My thoughts are with you.
Remember him as a great neighbor, always able to tell when he was working on a vehicle, saw him over the years when you moved out of town. Always a smile, always time to talk & a great person, Dawn, so sorry to hear of your loss. May meaningful memories help comfort you.
Oh how I am going to miss his smiling face and sense of humour. Gone WAY to soon and never will be forgotten. Sincere condolences Dawn and families. He was truly one of the best.
Judy and Kevin Leah.
Hi Dawn, I am so very sorry for your loss, both of your families loss and all of his many friends loss. I believe we only met once. I met Dan through friends Mike Thorpe and Max VanderHelm. I loved Dan for his as you said "dry" sense of humor. He was an entertaining man an I will treasure time spent with him. I would love to have spent more time with him and planned on it in retirement, but he was taken early.
Love to Dan, Rick Slifka, Black Diamond AB.
