Obituary of Louis Antonio Morin
May 17, 1954 – Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan
August 15, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta
Louis Morin, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the age of 67 years after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Louis was born in Gravelbourg, SK, in 1954 where he met the love of his life of forty-seven years, Carmen (nee Allard) and started his family. Louis graduated from the University of Calgary with a Master's degree in Public Law and Policy. His career included several years of dedication to not-for-profit organizations and later as a Market Analyst with the National Energy Board. He contributed to many community services and enjoyed watching his favourite hockey team, the Montreal Canadiens. Above all, Louis was a family man and he loved everyone in it. He will be missed by all who knew him. His “joie de vivre” was infectious.
Louis is survived by his children, Serge, Fabienne (Wes) and Christian (Sarah); grandchildren, Gabriel, Lucas, Raquelle, Kai, Izabella and Luna. He is also survived by his two sisters, Francine and Marielle (Laurent); brothers, Claude (Barb), Gilles (Denise), Maurice, Ben (Emilie), Rene, Guy (Francoise), and Marcel (Sylvie-Anne); and many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and their families. Louis was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Rosario Morin and Cecile Piche Morin.
Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, love leaves memories that no one can steal.
