Condolences
Auntie Eve,
We were so saddened to hear about the passing of Uncle Don. Unfortunately, we are not able to make the funeral but please know that we are thinking of you, Robert, Janet, Liam, Susan, Gene and Mariah. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We will miss Uncle Don and our visits with him when we were in Calgary or you here.
Love....Dave, Lori, Jorja and Dawson Ciocia (We will try to view the service on line!)
Sorry for your loss. Best wishes to Eve, Robert, Janet, Sue & Eugene. Donna & Lawrence
Our Deepest Sympathies on your loss. May Don’s memory be eternal. EFFY, Vicky, Korkoras
Don and I spent a lot of time together over the years. We used to go ice skating at the local arenas when we were younger. Even though he was 30 years older, I had a hard time keeping up with him. Don enjoyed life and took pride in his family. Don helped me install the hardwood parquet flooring in my house, even though it took almost a year to do! Don's favorite story was when he was 5 years old, he and a buddy had a wagon load of dead garter snakes. They dragged the wagon over to the local school and when the bell rang, the students came out to a barrage of dead snakes that Don and his buddy were throwing at them.
Don had a way with descriptive phrases that he would use. My favorite was "it's like two bulldogs fighting under a blanket" which was to describe an obese lady's hips when walking. I was fortunate to have a good conversation with him at the hospital just before he passed, I mentioned that Eve really missed him and in typical Don humor, he replied "That's because I make the coffee in the morning!". When I discussed this with Eve, she said that he did make really good coffee! Don I'll miss you, rest in peace.
