Condolences
Words cannot express the light that Carola brought to my life. We shared many dreams, a lot of laughter and a few tears around her kitchen table. I have so many fond memories of walking our dogs and gathering around the fire pit with her family on warm summer evenings.
I have so many happy memories of dinner with Carola and her family – not to mention dancing to music afterwards! She was a very talented cook and I still have many recipes in her writing. Somehow, they never turned out quite as well when I make them! My heartfelt thanks to Carola and her family for the love and friendship they extended to me over the years.
Carola had an exceptional gift for friendship and compassion. She was eternally positive and always knew how to make me smile. She was so warm and generous with the seniors she cared for. She shared many heart-warming stories of her experiences with them.
I am sad to say that we had fewer opportunities to spend time together after I moved to BC more than 15 years ago – but we made the best of it. We frequently got together when I was in Calgary – and would effortlessly “pick up where we left off”. Friendships such as these are precious gifts to be cherished – and I am so thankful to have had Carola in my life.
Rest in peace my dear friend – I will miss you always.
Cathy
Our very sincere condolences to Ben, Marisa, and Patrick upon learning of Carola’s passing, and which occurred far too soon.
Reading her Obituary, (which itself was so carefully, and obviously composed with Love), we were both made even more aware of her Life’s Journey, and her diverse experiences therein.
She will be missed….
