Condolences
The world has lost a bright star. Some of my favourite times with her were shouting for dolphins to come visit while we sailed off the coast of Vancouver, as well as spending time at CYC during regattas. Although she never got to meet our son Sebastian, the first gift he received was from Mary and Dave, who went through a great effort to get it to us in the hospital despite the covid restrictions. That’s the type of person Mary was, always going out of her way to make things special and people laugh. She will be truly missed.
So sorry for your loss Dave. I know Stan was so fond of both you and Mary. We all shared some fun times at the Yacht Club and Christmas Eve's at Ted and Carol's home. Mary was always so positive and full of energy with a desire to make everything fun.
Dave: Ian and I were so very sorry to hear of Mary's passing. We have great memories of our time at the Calgary Yacht Club, sailing "Rhythm & Blues" alongside the "Pink Pig" on Thursday nights. Whenever I think of Mary I remember the warmth and fun in her eyes; she was a joy to be around. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Best Wishes,
Liz and Ian Taylor
Dave, Phil and I are so sorry to hear about Mary's passing. Our hearts go out to you and the rest of your family. We have such great memories of our years as part of the Yacht Club Family and Mary was a big part of that. We remember her big smile and love of the water and those crazy hobbies you guys used to sail. Such fun. She will be missed. I've kept in touch over the past few years as a Facebook friend and only then realized that we shared a birthday....fellow Capricorns. Phil and I would like to keep in touch Dave and would enjoy being a part of celebrating her life.
I am so very sorry Dave - Mary was such a bright light. My thoughts are with you at this very difficult time and I look forward to celebrating her life.
Love,
Rae-Lynn
Dave, Dale and I are so very sorry to hear of Mary's passing. We share so many happy memories of her, whether at Hobie regattas, Fernie ski trips, or events at CYC. One of mine is she and I vying for the same 'trophy' at some of those events....so much laughter.
I hope all of the wonderful memories you have of her will help you during this difficult time. And as we all know, grief never goes away. Some days it is lighter, some days it is heavier. Just always try to remember that on the heavy days there are many people who support you, and are here to help you carry that load......

Oh Dave I am so sorry to hear this! She will be dearly missed, she will be always remembered by me for her beautiful smile and fun personality - we were always so excited as kids getting to hang out with cousin Mary! I remember her taking us to Calaway Park once Dean won a huge stuffed animal, it was the best getting to hang with our cool older cousin.
Dave, I am very sad to hear the news about Mary’s passing. It’s impossible to recall memories of Mary without hearing her laughter. She added so much fun to all the sailing trips and events I attended over the years. My sincere condolences. Kevin Morrison
Dave: Mary passing is devastating news and I am so sorry for your loss. "Love dove", as I called her growing up, was the perfect nickname. Mary was so filled with love, joy, and an enthusiasm for life that is hard to come by.
I'll never forget the time our families spent together and the kindness Mary showed looking after us as kids as we grew up. Hanging out with you both was always something to look forward to. You both treated us like we were your own children.
She will be deeply missed and it is safe to say the world was a better place because of her presence. Someone so special can never be forgotten.
Much love,
Derek Rucki

Dave, Diane and I offer our deepest sympathy. We remember a lot of great sailing, golfing and camping adventures in the last 30 years. Mary always had a smile on her face and lots of hugs to go around. Despite what Mary has gone through these past several years she always maintained that beautiful smile. Mary will be so deeply missed but will be forever in our hearts.
Love

Dave, I am heartbroken for you. The world has lost one of the special people, you have lost your soul mate. I have never met two people more suited for one another and who shared their joy for life everywhere they went! Mary was one of a kind - no matter how long it was between visits she always welcomed me like a long lost friend and we picked up right where we left off.
I will always remember and cherish all the laughs we had together in our younger years....from fishing for (and catching) men (after sitting in the back of the van maybe her and I having a "sip" or two while you drove a closed highway to Fortress) to meeting Billy Llama on the road to Windermere (where i distinctly recall NOT being able to physically laugh anymore due to a rousing game of Balderdash) and of course the ultimate night together - you both becoming accessories to kidnapping (and Chucky Cheese setting a record for beer sales)
The common thread in all these events is the laughter and celebrating of friendship. I feel blessed to have been able to call Mary a friend and her memory will always put a smile on my face and joy in my heart. Condolences to everyone feelin her loss and hugs to you!

Dave our deepest condolences to you - we are heartbroken over the loss of our beautiful Mary. She has been our friend for so very long and such a big part of our lives that it’s hard to imagine life without her. We think back fondly of all the adventures we had together throughout our lives: Chris standing up for Mary on her wedding day on top of a mountain; boating and shenanigans on Lake Windermere, our canoe trip to Golden, downhill skiing at Fortress, Panorama and countless trips to the hills, sailing in the Gulf Islands and BVI’s, hanging out at the yacht club, and just getting together for fun party games that the guys never wanted to play but always were good sports anyways. We were the Fab 4 and always up for new adventures together. Mary loved nature, people, and animals, and she was so generous with her time looking after our own kids and puppy over the years. She was a true friend and someone you could count on to raise your spirits with her smile and fun-loving nature. Mary was so loved by us, always and forever. She made this world a better place and we will miss her with all our hearts. ❤❤

Pat & I send you our sincere condolences, although we did not spend a lot of time together we always asked our daughter Kim & son-in law Chris how Mary was doing. Mary is now in a better place, free of pain & all the suffering she endured over the years.
Again, our deepest sympathys to you Dave & all who knew Mary.
