Dear Annemarie, John, Grace & family,
Our sincere condolences to you all at this difficult time. Mr. Harty's gentle soul will always be in our hearts.
My heartfelt sympathies are extended to you as a family. I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you all!
Sincerely, Lee Jacobs
Although we lived hundreds of miles apart, Steve has always been a close, loved member of our Caribbean family. We shared unforgettable memories of visits to Calgary where he untiringly took us to beautiful sites and interesting places. He enjoyed his stay in Trinidad during our carnival celebrations and went to Tobago for a memorable family reunion. Barbados was a yearly visit, where we relaxed on deck chairs by the beach, sipping cold beers and enjoying local food. Steve was a gentleman in every sense of the word, soft-spoken, polite and patient.
He was a loving husband to my sister Grace and a knowledgeable mentor to the boys. He also had a terrific sense of humor that was enjoyed by everyone.
Rest in peace Steve, you will be sadly missed.
I got to know Steve & Grace from the numerous Singer Sewing Machine Company trips, that we were on in the 1970's early 80's.
He had a wealth of knowledge of retailing, customer service, and on site repairs, which many of the participating Singer Dealers,
and District Managers wanted to tap into, then to share that info with their respective employees, in their sales area, across Canada.
Always cheerful, respectful, and willing to share. Our thoughts and prayers are with Steve's family, at this most difficult
time, in their lives. Ron & Edna Cybulski, Moncton NB.
Uncle Steve was a kind and generous man. He took my dad and I to a Stampeder game when I was about 10 years old and then for burgers afterward. He also had a sense of humour. We lived not too far from uncle Steve and I had gone to trick or treat at his house on Halloween. He came to the door wearing a very scary mask and scared me convincingly. We laughed about it many times later. I will cherish my memories of Uncle Steve. Marvalie and I extend our sincere condolences to his family.
Love to you Grace, and all your family. It is hard to let go. We love to sing about heaven, talk about heaven, look forward to heaven. But it is the separation we push against, and it is hard.
Steve is there, and enjoying his Saviour, reuniting with all his family & friends who have gone ahead. How can we wish him back? It won't be long 'till we are together again. Ruth Kosh & Family
