Obituary of Christopher Henry Reid Campbell

July 12, 1974 – Calgary, Alberta

September 16, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our son, brother, father, and friend, Christopher Henry Reid Campbell, on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at the age of 47 years.

Chris was born in Calgary on July 12, 1974, at the Calgary General Hospital.  He attended Thorncliffe Elementary school, Colonel Irvine Jr. High School, and John Diefenbaker High School. After graduation, he worked for Timber Teck Stairs in Calgary, Timber Teck Trusses, in Medicine Hat. He also worked for Schlumberger, and Alberta Tree Removers.

In 2008, he registered at SAIT for the Aircraft Mechanics program and began his career with Aero Metal, North Cariboo, and later West Jet, where he was employed until his passing.

Chris’s passion was his children and took every moment to make sure they had and knew how to have fun. Dirt biking was close to his heart, and he spent much of his time in Waiparous, Alberta riding the trails and camping with family and friends who were often as extensions of his family.  Christopher was loved by many who knew him, and his loss is felt by his family, extended family, friends, and colleagues.

Chris is survived by his three children, Bailey, Emily and Reid; his parents, Ethel and Garry; his sister Michelle (Philip), nephews, Lochlan, and Rowan; his brother Patrick (Barb), nephew Jordan, and great-nephew Quinn; his wife Chaya, her parents, Don and Jon-Ella; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shandra (Aaron) Tyler, and Addison, Amy (Paul) Gabby, and Jax, Jeremy, April, Ava and Olivia; and his close friend Jenn. He is survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents, brother-in-law Jason Smiley, and his uncles, Albert Schneider, Norman Campbell, Milton Campbell, Harold Campbell, and Ervin Campbell.

“Know that I am with you always.”
