Condolences
Dear cousins, so many memories from Brian's visits to us in England, and our trips to visit you in Canada. Dad fondly reminisces about playing golf with Brian, and he was especially warm and welcoming to me when I passed through Calgary many years ago and he came and met me and my friend at the airport and helped us pick up our camper van, took us shopping and told us which way to drive into the mountains. Thoughts are with you all xx Gemma
Wish times were different and we could be there in person to give you all a hug and share some of our memories of a favourite uncle.
So many stories of time we spent with Uncle Brian and the influence he had on our family. Mom said he was the one who taught her to tie her shoes, tells stories of the youthful adventures they shared, times spent together as young married couples, trips they took and the bond they always had. He was a mentor to many of us with his words of advice, listening to our problems and being a role model in navigating the business world. He is an inspiration as to how to accept the challenges of life and live life to it's fullest. We can only hope to come close to being as active and engaged as he was, even as he aged. We are so lucky to have had Uncle Brian and all of you as part of our lives over these many years. He truly made this world a much better place and we are all better for having known him.
On behalf of Mom and the rest of us, please know our love is with you today.
Love Lori
Dear Fred and Kathi, when people share a friendship for as long as we have, you come to feel like family too. So today I feel your loss and my heart goes out to you and the rest of your families. At this difficult time, I wish you all comfort in the memories of all the happy times you had with your dad. Love & hugs Dianne Goodwin
I will never forget the time I spent in Lampman Sask when the family was stationed there. Marlene and I were attending Notre Dame College at the time and I was invited to spend a few days with the family. I will always remember and treasure these memories because Brian made me feel so welcome.
My dear Cousins, Auntie Peggy and families. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you along with my love and hugs. I have many great memories of spending time with Uncle Brian and family as we grew up. Trips to Swan Hills, and then to Calgary where Uncle Brian took me to my first football game. He was so patient with us when we golfed, as we were no where near his handicap! Rest my dear Uncle, you have earned it!!! Love Shirley and family.
Dear Toner Family,
We knew you best in the Frobisher camp, where we lived for 3 years in the early 60’s. You were a young, friendly family and your parents were kind, considerate people. Our sympathy to you in the loss of such a good man and as Doug would say “He was the best”.
Doug and Barbara Baldwin.
Rest In Peace, dear Uncle. I treasure the times we spent together, and the memories you shared. You are missed.
Dixie, Doug, Kari and Kim
We are so sorry to hear that Brian has passed away and offer our deepest condolences in these difficult times. We knew Brian from the time we spent in Devon Alberta where he was the area manager for Imperial Oil. When we moved to Calgary in 1986 and Brian started a new career in real-estate he faithfully took us around and showed us many homes. We remember Brian as a most generous and good natured man and will miss him dearly.
Dieter and Jean Busse
