Condolences
I spent short time working with Nick at Elite Machining, he was my best trainer and supervisor. I learnt a lot from him, he trained me from small things in daily job like using a hand drill or making a call to customers, something is normal with other people but for me they are the first times. I hope he enjoyed last days of his life in happiness and now rest in peace. Will miss you with respect.
Our deepest sympathies to all the families at this time. Thinking of all of you. As a classmate in Fox Valley I remember Nicholas as a gentle and kind person with a super big heart which when listening to his children he still had. I’m so grateful I was able to view this beautiful service. RIP Nicholas❤️
I will miss my uncle dearly. He was a role model and inspiration to me my whole life. I had some great conversations with him as a adult and he always impressed me with how much knowledge ,care and attention he put into deep conversations. I know he was loved by everyone and am so saddened by his early departure from all of us. I will miss our chess matches. Thanks for all the advice over the years.

As we get older and look back on our lives, we often realize that our most important friendships are our earliest. That is certainly true of my friendship with Nicky. Nicky and I had many adventures on the streets of Fox Valley, often accompanied by my brother Neil and Brenda from across the street. I saw less of Nicky after my family moved to Alberta in 1969, but we still managed to get together every year or two until 1980 or so. Then, as often happens in this life, we lost touch. Nicky and I were certainly peas from the same pod, so it is perhaps not surprising that we shared a love of "the happiest place on Earth" (no, I'm not referring to Fox Valley, or even Medicine Hat; I am talking about Disneyland). Even though over forty years have passed since I last saw Nicky, I still consider him to be my oldest and bestest friend. It is said that Christians never need to say a final farewell to each other, since we know that we shall greet each other again on the other side of eternity. So, while I offer my sincere sympathy and condolences to Nicky's family and friends, I hope you take comfort from knowing that your separation is temporary, and that you will see him again. I remember my uncle Nick as being a fun happy guy with one of the best senses of humour. His laugh was so infectious you wanted to be around him. My best memories are when I was younger and uncle Nick and Mary Anne moved to Calgary. I was always at their place babysitting or just hanging out. Uncle Nick you will greatly missed. Love you Laurie Parry ( nee ) Brummund
