Obituary of Nicholas Paul Sehn

June 29, 1960 – Leader, Saskatchewan

October 18, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

 

Nicholas Sehn, beloved husband of Mary Anne (Pittman) of Calgary, AB, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the age of 61 years. 

 

Nick was born in Leader, Saskatchewan. He was a former employee of Elite Machining Ltd. Nick enjoyed golf, baseball, hockey, football, tennis, curling, handyman work; he was particularly proud of his children and family. Nick enjoyed home renovation and movies. His most memorable vacation was when he went to Disneyland with the family. Nick will be most remembered for being a loving family man with strong values and a quirky sense of humor.

 

Nick is survived by his loving wife Mary Anne, son Brent, daughter Megan, and grandchild Ashleigh Rose. He is also survived by his four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Elizabeth and Walter Brummund of Okotoks, Kathleen Bischke of Medicine Hat, Laura and Don Wilk of Seven Persons and Lorraine Zmurchyk of Medicine Hat; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Nick was predeceased by his mother Rose, his father Nicholas, he was also predeceased by his pet, Ginger.

 

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on October 24, 2021 starting at 5:30 p.m.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. Those attending will be asked to confirm one of the following, (A) COVID vaccination (date requested), OR (B) a negative COVID test (within 72 hours), OR (C) Medical exemption AND valid government identification (with name & date of birth) OR (D) Under 12 years of age.Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Sehn’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.

 

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Those attending will be asked to confirm one of the following, (A) COVID vaccination (date requested), OR (B) a negative COVID test (within 72 hours), OR (C) Medical exemption AND valid government identification (with name & date of birth) OR (D) Under 12 years of age.
