Condolences
Our condolences to Frank's family. You have lost a wonderful person, one of Nature's gentlemen. He spread happiness wherever he went, and he always made us feel we were special. We regret not having met him earlier, only as a resident of the Lodge at Valley Ridge. I'm sure we would have loved to do outdoor activities together. Despite the weakness and discomfort he felt as his illness progressed, we never saw him sad or despondent, but always happy to see us and always interested in our activities and memories. We were very sad to see him leave and to hear he had departed this life. His memory shall always be bright for us.
Dear Gina and Ken, Mary and Danny, Cathy and Rob, Louise and Mike, my sincerest condolences to each of you and your children and grandchildren at the passing and sad loss of your dad and father-in-law. Though I don't live in Calgary, thanks to the internet, for 25 years I had frequent contact with Frank, as he became woven into the fabric of my life, also evidenced in the refrain "Mom & Frank". A wonderful answer to prayer regarding our mother, we were delighted in the suitable companion for her (one also able to speak with our relatives in Germany), and someone with to roam the wilds of Alberta, as well as to fly to the ends of the earth (!) with her-- leaving me freer to pursue my own paths. I was happy that my work alllowed extended visits at the large Manor house which were always lively times of great food (beginning with a glass of Mom's favorite wine, and Frank's famous smoked sausage as we caught up and laughed together around the kitchen island...), wonderful mountain excursions (Frank outfitting me summer and winter with whatever I needed), intense conversations (we both loved debates regarding theology) and very competetive card games long into the night... Life lived to the fullest! Being well-read Frank had a wide range of knowledge, which was always increasing through a constant curiosity and further research. Though we shared many perspectives, where we continued to differ, even passionately, he always did so most respectfully. I always sensed appreciation and warmth from Frank. Over the last two years I have marvelled at the dignity, courage and strength with which Frank met the diagnosis of cancer and worked through the consequences. I have also been so impressed by how you, his daughters, and all your families increasingly supported Frank, but also my mother, usually travelling many miles to do so, always bringing comfort and strength, and special treats for them both. You were a tremendous support to Mom, as well as to your dad-- both loving and reflecting him. I deeply grieve his passing with you, though I know your loss to be far greater. We have many great memories to treasure--may they strengthen us! Thank you for sharing him with me.
Mary, Gina, Cathy, Louise and families, and Mary Lou -- our sincere condolences on the passing of your Dad and partner. Uncle Frank was a gentleman and his long friendship and kinship will be sadly missed. Sending much love and prayers to you all.
So sorry to hear about Frank. He was a good neighbour to us all the while we lived in the Manor. He will live in our memories.

Dear Seibert family, but especially dear Mary Louise,
Frank was a great man who knew how to make people laugh with his kind and funny ways.
We like to remember your visits in Germany, but especially the time we spend with you in Canada. Frank always took a lot of time and showed us his favorite places in nature in and around Calgary.
Especially Richard had found in Frank a friend with whom he was on the same wavelength on the subject of agriculture.
We will always keep him in good memory.

May God's peace sustain you during this difficult time.
My sincere condolences to you MaryLou and Frank’s family. I am so sorry to read that Frank passed away. He was such dear man, always friendly, kind and helpful. It was so very special to receive a package of the tasty sausage from Frank now and then. He and I had great fun playing Words with Friends on our IPads and he sure was good and competitive, not liking to lose! I miss our daily games already! Rest In Peace, my friend.
We consider it a privilege to have met Frank and Mary Lou at the Lodge. Frank was such a kind sensitive person, and we shared memories of many outdoor activities and adventures. Frank was one of the few people that enjoyed my peculiar sense of humour. I was so sorry to hear of his suffering ion the last days of his cancer, and celebrated his and Mary Lou's courage to not extend the inevitable. Frank's passing is a sad loss to us all.
