Condolences
Dear Schonhoffer Family,
My sincere condolences on the passing of Lesley. I had the pleasure of working with Lesley for several years at CNRL. I enjoyed going for lunch with her and talking about life. Lesley was a wonderful person with a beautiful soul. She will be missed!

Dear Schonhoffer and Pols families,
My deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved Lesley. Sending peace to you all during this very difficult time.
I met Lesley at ECO Canada. We interviewed for two different jobs in communications at the organization on the same day (I remember sitting together nervously as we waited for our interviews). I am so grateful we both got hired because that meant I got to work with Lesley for the next 4 years.
The work was busy and intense at times and we all appreciated Lesley’s humour and light so much. She was super talented and a hard worker, but could also make anything fun, and usually did. There were office shenanigans at times, and Lesley was often at the centre of it. She was also an amazing listener and a steadfast friend through the ups and downs of life.
One of our jokes was that I called her “Lisel” after the von Trapp daughter in the Sound of Music and she called me “Misel.”
I moved to Victoria in 2008 and hadn’t seen her recently, but we kept in touch over the years on Facebook and this past September, I promised her I would come and visit. It is very hard to know now that won’t happen.
Here’s to you, Lisel, Lisey, Lisey B. I will miss you so much. You are forever in my heart.

Fran, Norm, and Stacey - plus Simon, Arie, and Noelle,
I was shocked to learn of Lesley's passing last week, and still am at a loss for adequate words which the heart-rending loss of Lesley, who was such a fundamental part of your lives, has brought to all of you.
She was such a vital person, and I always looked forward to seeing what she was up to in her posts. Although it's been a long time since the days of playing in the street on the Crescent, it was only this past summer that we had a brief chat about an old photo of Stacey's birthday.
In between those extremes of long ago and very recently, Lesley took care of our first house is Cliff Bungalow while we went to India for work almost immediately after getting possession. I also remember her love for dancing (and the family dog, Jazzy) and later on her love for music which became tangible when she got a sunburst Fender Telecaster guitar.
I loved her post about Fran checking what the correct spelling for "Riggins", the bike, was - it spoke volumes about the family.
In memory of Lesley's love for bicycling and her generous spirit, I thought it would be fitting to donate a Buffalo Bicycle in her memory (World Bicycle Relief). Hopefully the bike brings someone as much joy as Riggins brought Lesley, and which she brought to everyone around her.
Dear Fran, Norm, and Stacey (Simon, Arie, and Noelle),
Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Lesley's passing was a tragic and shocking loss. Growing up with Lesley back on Lake Waterton Crescent was unforgettable. Although Lesley was a few years younger, she was always able to keep up with the rest of the children. Her positivity and love for fun were apparent from her early years. Playing at local parks, bike riding, hosting games and sales for our friends, and dressing up our Barbie dolls were primary sources of enjoyment. Lesley brought a ray of sunshine to all who knew her; she will be missed.

Dear Schonhoffer and Pols families,
I really hope that you can feel the love and hugs that are being sent to you from afar. Lesley made strong connections and built amazing friendships with so many people. I am so deeply sorry for your loss and hold everyone near and dear to Lesley in my heart.
I feel so lucky to have met Lesley when I joined the marketing team at ECO Canada, which was almost twenty years ago. All I know is that from the moment I started that job and was assigned a desk next to Lesley, I felt at home.
So much fun was weaved into those work days where coffee breaks, lunchtime and after hours on a Friday were full of laughter and a few good-hearted shenanigans too. Not to mention the many adventures had at conferences across Canada. I'll always remember being introduced to jazz hands when posing for a photo thanks to Lesley. Just the words "jazz hands" makes me think of her.
I am so grateful to have enjoyed a friendship with Lesley that continued beyond our years of working together. The shenanigans may have tapered off as our journeys in life took us in different directions but the quality time together will forever be meaningful to me, especially because those times were accentuated by Lesley's infectious laugh. I’m so glad I can replay her giggle in my mind and feel the joy.
I am forever grateful to call Lesley a friend. She is in my heart and part of my life-long memories.
My deepest condolences for your loss. I wish you peace and comfort while you grieve.
With much love,
Janelle Pagnucco

Dear Schonhoffer Family,
I had the great fortune to work with Lesley at ECO Canada and share an office for some of that time. We had so many great laughs about nonsense things, and I remember those days so fondly. I am sorry to hear of her passing and send condolences, she will be very missed.

Dear Schonhoffer Family,
I worked with Lesley at ECO for more than 7 years. She made every day there better with her incredible sense of humour and innate ability to make everyone feel included and important. While I am deeply sorrowed by the loss of her, I feel blessed to have known her and spent so many years feeling her kindness and lightness. Lesley was a treasure; someone obviously raised the right way, with the right values - someone her family should be enormously proud of. My thoughts and my heart goes out to you in your healing.

Dear Schonhoffer and Pols Families,
My deepest condolences. I can't imagine the hole that is left in your lives as Lesley was was pure sunshine and love.
When we hired Lesley at ECO, there were many applicants. She was certainly very skilled, but it was her enthusiasm, excitement, exuberance and pure authenticity that got her the job. She talked about how happy her family would be too if she got the job. I had never, and to this day, met anyone with that amount of light in their face. She was loved by all of her colleagues. She was the only graphic designer in an organization that succeeded through their online presence. She was so needed everyday with a full schedule of projects, but would always fit in spur of the moment requests - she never said no and stayed late to accommodate everyone. Her talent was exceptional. She was also the center of all of the social events, and made sure the staff always had lots of fun and laughter with her creative activities. When I was planning my wedding, I hired Lesley to take over and figure it all out all of the creative aspects. It was a beautiful wedding because of her and I will forever be grateful for all of the excitement, generosity and love she brought to it. She and I had so many laughs talking about my kids and her nieces - such a proud Auntie. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Dear Schonhoffer Family,
I am deeply saddened. I met Lesley while working at ECO Canada and am very thankful that our friendship continued beyond work into a beautiful friendship. Lesley always told great stories which could make you laugh all evening long. My thoughts are with your family during this time.
