Condolences
I had the pleasure of working with Jason every now and again. He was always happy and upbeat. I will miss running into him at conferences and having a few drinks.God Speed Mr. Kingdon.
It’s been over ten years since Walter and I met Jason. He purchased the house next door to us. I will always remember his excitement and enthusiasm at that time. He was moving near his two sons Joe and Sam. Over the years we became over the fence friends. Talking to him while we sat on our deck. Often, on our walks, we would run into him at Safeway. He always took the time to stop and talk, was always friendly, and never rushed. He made us feel welcome and special in a way. One Halloween our daughter Sara and Jake (her son) and I went Trick or Treating with the boys and Jason. The costumes he had made the boy were amazing and so proud he was to show them off. In the winter he often picked up the shovel to help my husband Walter. Sometimes boys helped. Jake our grandson went in to play at Jason’s invite. He always said send him in, send him in. I wish I had more time to get to know you more Jason. We miss your car noise pulling in and out. In the summer I will miss the meat smoker. Beautiful smells from that yard. Most of all we will miss the boys coming up and down the alley.
Rest In Peace
I will fondly remember the infamous attack of the “For Rectal Use Only” Bandit at Inter Pipeline. That crap was everywhere - literally. Combine that with the 3D printed catapult wars and you can easily see how much fun Jason made the workplace!
Goodnight Sweet Prince. Thank you for always being that ray of sunshine lighting up everyone's day! May Flights of Angels Sing Thee To Thy Rest!

I met Jason at the very start of his career. Jason was such a energetic, vibrant, powerful, engaging personality. My condolences to all of his family.
I am so very sorry for the loss of Jason, this has come as a total shock. He was a great guy, funny, smart, helpful, an overall outstanding human being. I will miss him.

Shocked to know about the sudden demise of a wonderful friend. He was full of life, jolly and open hearted. He liked to always be engaged in interesting and fun games, activities and projects thus making the most of his time. It was a pleasure to know him and work with him back in 2012-2014. Huge loss for the entire family especially his boys who have lost their friend and Dad.
May you rest in eternal peace Jason!
My family and I are very saddened to hear of this news regarding Jason. As his neighbors he was always pleasant to talk to. He was also great with kids as he did double duty mowing his lawn while entertaining my son (p.s. your grass was never too long!)
Most recent memory would be Jason insisting for our son to come visit during Halloween as he said and did have the biggest treats and were greeted by lively hosts Jason and Jennifer.
You will be missed.
Sorry to hear of Jason’s passing. It was good to see him again at the Arcurve Christmas party. My condolences to his family. He will be missed.
So sorry to hear of Jason's sudden passing. There was never a dull moment working with Jason and he always spoke so proudly of his boys. I'll always appreciate the hospitality Jason, Jen and the boys showed when I visited Calgary a couple of years ago. My thoughts go out to Jen, the boys and the rest of Jason's family.
I am really saddened and heartbroken to hear about Jason's passing. I spoke to him recently via LinkedIn, where we were reminiscing about the great times we had in Whangarei, New Zealand in 2017-18. We really used to talk a lot about life in NZ and Canada and how peaceful Whangarei was. We also went to a Green Day concert together in Auckland. Jason was such a great colleague and friend and we will always remember him. Rest in peace my dear friend!
We were saddened to hear of Jason’s passings. We knew Pearl and Joe Boris, Jason’s grandparents from Sandy Lake. Jason shared an apartment with our son, Jonathan, while they went to university. Jason visited us in Roblin a few times. My husband, Jack, taught Jason’s Uncle Neddy. Donna was in a younger grade. Our hearts go out to Jason’s two sons. Their dad will be difficult to replace. Deepest condolences to Donna and the Boris Family . . Although we didn’t know Jen, we offer our deepest sympathy to her and her family who also will be feeling this void. Treasure those happy memories. May the Lord be your comfort and strength. As you recall all the wonderful memories of Jason, May your heart be comforted to know that others grieve with you.
I am very sad to hear this new of Jason's passing. I worked with him when he was doing consulting work at IPL. He was very knowledgeable and took time to explain things to others like myself when asked. We chatted about family, and he spoke of his sons very dearly. I told him I had a grandson that loved dinosaurs, and he came into the office one day with a 3D dinosaur that he made for me to give to my grandson. My heart goes out to his family.
I was deeply saddened to hear about Jason's sudden passing. I have had the absolute privilege of working with Jason since the late 2000's when our paths first crossed at a Maximo project for Talisman. He was the guru and I was the student at that time, and I have had the honor of working with him several times over the following years. Jason was and always will be a one of a kind guy, respected for his deep pool of knowledge and remembered for his caring, commitment and honesty.
My heart goes out to his family and other friends and colleagues who will all be missing Jason. The Maximo Community in Calgary, Canada and the World has lost a shining star.
So sorry to hear of Jason’s sudden passing. I will always remember his freedom to express himself during lip sync’s and dances. Fun times! Sending hugs to all. Crystal Scott
It's such a cruel oxymoron at a time like this but my lasting takeaway from my brief but memorable interactions with Jason, was that he was utterly full of life. Love and best wishes to Jen, the boys, and all others who were blessed to be around his magnificent energy.
So sorry, Donna, Lisa, and all of your family- most especially Jason’s partner and children. I have many funny, fond memories of our summers at Otter Lake as one of the crazy tribe of kids! Sincerest condolences from Nancy Johnson Coulson, and all of the Monty and Leona Johnson family from Manitoba.
We are extremely saddened by the news of Jason passing. I will always remember the amazing costumes he would make for the kids and the fun we all had during the parents versus kids soccer matches. Jason was good to my parents, always willing to stop and visit. Our thoughts go out to his family and Jen. Joe and Sam we are thinking of you your dad was a wonderful man.
I am just in shock after learning of Jason's passing today. I have worked with Jason quite a few times over the last few years and he has always been one of my most favourite people to work with.
With his great sense of humour and quick wit he made the work place a lot more fun whenever he was involved, and he was really good at his job too which made it that much easier to get things accomplished.
I am deeply saddened and send my condolences to his family, he will be missed by everyone that got the chance to know him. Rest in peace my friend.
Jason, when Lisa informed me of your passing, my thoughts went to the times we worked together. Your knowledge and dedication to your project teammates and clients were second to none. We had some great intellectual discussions where when we agreed to disagreed it was always with respect to each other's opinions. The great laughs, man we had some great laughs and finally what also I fondly remember, is the pride in your voice when you talked about yours sons! Rest in Peace my friend. You will be missed!
So sorry to hear the tragic news. Such a good looking young man.
Am thinking of you
Donna and Lisa..and of course his sons...
My thoughts are with Jennifer and his sons Joseph and Samuel, but I'd like share how Jason was one of the first Canadians that I worked with after arriving here in 2015. His wit, intelligence and quick mind left a lasting impression on me. Jason instantly filled a room with his personality, his heart and his charisma. At first I had a nagging feeling that I had met Jason before, physically impossible! However, I was reminded of a cartoon character - Felix and His Amazing Underpants! This character with thick, curly, black hair and devious forelock would help those around him, solving all manner of problems every week! And after all if anyone ever owned amazing underpants it would be Jason! I'm so thankful that we were recently able to share some more laughs with him and Jennifer and get to see him perform.
Goodnight, my friend, the world is a little greyer today but whatever is next for you I'm sure that you will do it your way!
To Jason his sons, partner and extended family, my deepest condolences. Jason and I worked together many years ago and I remember him as passionate, caring and fun person who was certainly true to himself. He made an impact to the team he was part of and will certainly be missed.
