Condolences
Evelyn and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
There’s a handful of true good men out there and Bob was certainly one of them.
The world has lost a true gift.
Please know, my heart is with you all.
Bob was a respected member of our Friday afternoon curling league, the Maverick Curling Club. On behalf of all of our members, I want to pass along our sincere condolences to the family.

Ev & family. To hear the news of Bob has saddened Orville & me so very much. We have lived around the corner from each other for many years and all the visits & times spent together have been so memorable & fun. Our visits were always informative, sometimes silly but always loads of fun. Orv always remembers the fishing trip with Bob, Tim & Russ to Candle Lake. Talks about that trip quite often when the subject of fishing comes up!! We will miss our visits in the front yard for sure. We both extend our heartfelt sympathy & sincere condolences to you, Ev & your entire family at this time.
"Pa Kettle" was the kindest, happiest man we knew. He always had a smile on his face and never failed to put one on others. Grandpa was also the funniest man we knew. He always made us laugh even if we were not in the same place. One time we were driving back from Swiss Chalet, and he was in a separate car; when the two cars passed, grandpa was looking at us, pretending to pick his nose, and laughing. He would always do anything just to make someone laugh. We loved that about him. That night we were also introduced to the "whippet," he was so excited to go get one, but we had no idea what he was talking about. We asked him, and he replied, "you know, those things from Wendy's." We immediately knew he was talking about "Frostys" and thought it was funny because we had never heard of someone calling it by that name. "Frostys" to us will forever be a "whippet."
Grandpa was so effortlessly funny; one time, we went over to their house, and we were sitting on the deck; it was sunny, so grandpa went inside to grab a hat. When he came out, we could not stop laughing. If we could add a picture of him with this hat, we would. It was like a little fisherman's hat that did not fit his head at all; this is why it was so funny. When he noticed us laughing, he said, "if you want to be as stylish as your grandpa, put the hat on." Grandpa knew the hat looked goofy but didn't hesitate to wear it to crack us up.
These are just a few of our memories with grandpa. If we wrote all of them, this message would go on forever.
We will forever love you and miss you, grandpa.
-Ashley and Hailey.
