Condolences
So sorry Don was glad she remembered me in Church. Condolences and will miss the conversations over coffee at church.
Dear Don and family,
My sincerest condolences on the passing of your beloved Helen. Helen was a phenomenal educator and a trusted and caring friend. She was a supportive colleague to me when I came as a rookie to Mount Royal Junior High and remained a support to me as I worked through difficulties in my personal life. I will always cherish the times we spent together and will keep her memory alive forever. Don, you were her rock, her love and her caregiver in her final years. May you have continued good health and find peace remembering the special relationship you and Helen shared.
Fondly,
Reva
To Don and family. My sincere condolences
As a colleague and friend of the ‘Woodlands Oldies Group’ we had many good times together at work and off campus.
Helen was a classy, supportive and friendly staff member and a privilege to work with.
As we all retired she continued to keep in touch as we met together as a group now and then.
We will miss her
May she Rest In Peace

To Don Hume, the granddaughters and the rest of the family,
Sincere condolences to each of you on Helen's passing.
Don, it was always evident that to you 'love' was a 'verb' and not just a noun. Your caring of Helen was with kindness, with detail and devotion. She always said she was so lucky to have found you and that you were precious to her.
I was lucky to have worked with Helen at Woodlands School and to also call her 'my friend'. I learned lots about life and school from her. She had a quick wit, sense of humor and fun, and a sharp intellect. She made important positive contributions to the lives of children and adults...she had a work life of purpose and success.
I know she was a person of conviction and strong faith and so am sure she thought she would be reunited with her cherished daughter Jocelyn. May they rest in peace.
