Condolences
Vicki's brother Brian, (Don's Brother-In-Law), & I, wife Helen were fortunate enough to physically see, visit & camp with Don & Vicki in June 2018. We were on our way to SK to attend a Celebration of Life for my Father & meet my Aunts & Uncles.
Don & Vicki were gracious enough to (Be there for us @ this very difficult time & support us, as well).
We were passing through AB & were able to arrange a Camping trip in Lethbridge AB, @ the Bridge-View RV Park. surrounded by Cottonwood Trees, which was a Topic over our two night visit. We weren't able to use the pool, it was full of Cottonwood!!!
We had a very nice visit, Don & Brian both have a very good sense of humour & like to joke around especially about AB where Don & Vicki stayed to live & B.C.,where Brother Brian moved to in 1980.
We planned an excusion to the Japanese Gardens in Lethbridge & it was a very peaceful day & fun with Don & Brian's jokes!!!
As we parted ways, I gave Don & Vicki my Father's obituary card & Don stated, "I can't imagine how hard this will be for you".
Don & Vicki lovingly cared & brother Brian turned 60 on our return home & we all kept in touch throughout, as we always have.
I was pleased to see a Tree will be planted in Don Dixon's Memory @ the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area, by the McInnis & Holloway Funeral Home. Don would be pleased as well. Many good fun memories. Rest in Peace Don Dixon!!!
Don was an enjoyable person to work with/for and be around and i'm sure that was imparted on his family and closest friends. We all seem to go too soon, but I believe Don truly enjoyed his last 11 years that so few get.

Don & I became friends over 62 years ago. We lived a few doors away from each other & attended school together . After high school we went on different paths but always considered him a lifelong friend .The last time I saw Don was at a Bowness high reunion quite a few years ago & once we started talking we picked up right where we left off years earlier . Thats the kind of guy he was .
I only found out today that he passed away recently & would like to send my sincerest condolences to his family members .
