Garry Goral of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the age of 80 years.

Garry was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 23, 1941.  In 1964, he married Elnore, graduated from the University of Manitoba with a major in Physics and a minor in Math.  He then moved to Calgary, AB to pursue his career as a Geophysicist with various Oil and Gas companies.  Garry was very active as a member of the Kimberley Trap and Skeet Club, the Calgary Firearms Centre and was a member of the Army and Navy since 1975.  He volunteered with Scouts Canada from 1975-1980, as well as the Cascade Swim Club from 1984-1997.   Garry accomplished much throughout his life and was particularly proud of both his sons’ Graduation from post Secondary Institutions, weddings of both his children, his grandkids, and his fur babies Tazzy and Simon. Garry enjoyed spending time fishing, reading a good book or twenty as he was an avid reader, he also enjoyed photography, and trap shooting.

Garry’s most memorable vacation was when he went to Disneyland with his family in 1981 and he also visited Paris, London, Island of Rhodes in the 2000’s. Garry’s favourite quote was ‘Never mind the dog, beware of the owner!’ He will be most remembered for always being witty with a good sense of humour. He always gave more to others than to himself and dedicated his time to making sure the ones he loved were taken care of.

Besides his loving wife Elnore Goral, Garry is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jennifer Goral and Patrick and Deidre Goral; and two grandchildren, Kalista and Kaedan Goral.
