Condolences
Dear Shannon and family
I was sorry to learn today of your Dad's passing. Just reading his obit and he sounds like a very interesting person. I was particularly interested to learn about his passion for horses and cutting competitions which is a sport of particular interest to me which I still follow here in Australia. Despite his mental challenges, I'm sure he was appreciative of your constant care in his later years. My sincere condolences on his passing and wishing you some wonderful memories with which cherish him. SuzAnne King
Our last visit with Uncle Bill was in September 2019. My sister Norma and myself had a great visit with him while he was in the hospital. It is sad to see the last living sibling of our father Josef pass away, the end of the first generation of Jani’s in Canada. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of his loved ones.
My first memories of my uncle were riding behind him on the motobike to school when I was about six. He lived with us after the untimely death of his parents. Grass didn’t grow under his feet as he soon left to make his way in life. Whether it was working in Argentina or setting up Site Oil Tool, he was out to make his mark; and he did. Each time we visited there was a new project and a new invention. In the end, he was the last of my Mother’s siblings to leave us. His was a life lived full. He will be missed.
