Obituary of Bill Jani

Bill Jani, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021, at the age of 86 years.

Bill was highly respected within the Oil & Gas Industry for his knowledge of subsurface pressure systems and well completion complexity. He provided quality service and products through his oil field service companies and holds a number of patents for his design and manufacture of various down-hole tools. Bill accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of his horses. Bill was involved in Cutting Competitions throughout Alberta; this gave him great peace of mind. Bill enjoyed the outdoors with his family and friends, he took great pride in teaching his kids activities for all seasons. Bill was a good family man and generous to all he held most dear.

Bill is survived by his four children, Dean, Shannon, Corinne, and Charmaine; three stepchildren, Darren, David, and Dana. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Paul, Courtney, Elly, Isabella, and Sydney; four step-grandkids, Michaela, Cale, Dylan, and Mason; two great-grandchildren, Kinnley, and Kane.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB), on Monday, January 10, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. Those attending will be asked to provide valid government identification (with name and date of birth) AND confirm one of the following: (A)Provincial vaccine record with QR code (paper or digital); OR (B)negative COVID test (within 72 hours); or (C)valid medical exemption (signed letter); OR (D)under 12 years of age. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Jani’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
