Deanna, Frank, Ian and Family,
Our deepest condolences to you all on Franks passing...we so enjoyed many happy times with Frank and Deanna. Alan and Frank worked together at Canada Post for many years. Frank was such a good, fun loving man, always positive and happy go lucky. May you feel some comfort in the days, months ahead and keep the happy memories within you and know that you are in our thoughts.
Alan, Sharon, Nicole (Segstro) and Scott Ritchie
Deana & Family: I was deeply saddened to hear of Frank"s passing. He was an extremely warm, giving & caring soul. My deepest sympathy, thoughts & prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. Please take comfort in knowing that he will forever be missed & remembered. Take care & God Bless. xo
Frank was one of the first people I met at Canada Post back in 1978. He always made the effort to new folks to make them feel welcome. We were both in a group of friends that used to gather in our younger days. Frank loved to dance and I remember “disco” dancing with Frank on many occasions. We did have a lot of fun together. Seems like Frank worked at Canada Post forever being the youngest employee I knew of. He did get to enjoy retirement but was taken far too soon. I did have the pleasure of meeting Frank’s son Ian at Cadets. My heart goes out to the family; my sympathies to you all as he must have been a wonderful husband and father. Rest In Peace Frank, thanks for the memories

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I was shocked to hear of Frank's passing. I didn't get to see a lot of Frank in recent years; however, I had a great visit with him at the last Undaunted reunion. When I was in sea cadets with him, we "all liked Frank". How could you not... He has always been a descent, caring, genuine guy who cared about people and a friend to many. He was a "true family man". He will be missed many, many people. Although I can not be at the funeral today, I will be thinking of him and his family.
I only knew Frank through Facebook - my brother in law is Frank’s nephew, Euan Goldie. Euan and Jill always spoke about seeing Frank in Calgary and what a good time they had. They hoped to return to visit. Frank seemed to enjoy his photography and family. I was shocked and saddened to hear of his untimely passing.
My condolences to the Goldie family I wanted to say that I met frank quite a few years ago at a sea cadet reunion all through I was younger we hit it off we were cracking jokes and talking about cadets and he always treated me with respect and honour I know it’s a hard time right now but remember the great times much love and respect Brett
I met Frank many years ago at H.M.C.S. Tecumseh, he was an able seaman and good shipmate. Frank could be counted on as an able raconteur of adventures and a good listener to others stories. Fair winds and following seas, Frank, we have the watch, you're relieved.
They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Deanna and family, so sorry to hear of Frank’s passing, he was such a fun guy to work with, made everyone laugh, he will be missed, Rest In Peace , my friend
Till we meet again papa Frank. I’ll bring the cards and the crib board. Rest In Peace my friend.
Frank was a one of a kind type of friend. He and I met in Sea cadets 50 years ago ( or so) . We always stayed in touch although we often went for more than a year without seeing or speaking to each other. Then we would meet again and pick up right where we left off the last time. That was just the kind of a true friend that he was. Our last visit was a great one. We spent the better part of a week together in Victoria BC. I had reached out to him and asked if he would like to meet in Victoria with myself and another good friend around the end of October to have a little reunion to celebrate 50 after walking onto CFB Esquimalt while we were entering our very first Band camp with Sea Cadets at age 14. It all worked out. We chatted about all of the old times and great friends that we had made over those 50 years. It was an amazing time and we are so blessed to have been able to share all of the memories. Who would have known that they would be the last memories we would share. Thankful Tom Spohr
My condolences to all of you. Frank and I met through cadets, he was always fun to be around and his stories were never boring.
On behalf of the Calgary Branch, Navy League of Canada we would like to thank him for his volunteering and contribution to our Branch over the years.
