James (Jim) Lorentz, beloved husband of Alice Lorentz, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the age of 94 years.

James was born on February 7, 1927, on the family farm near Linacre, SK. He was a very proud, long-time employee of the CN and a devoted fan of the Calgary Flames.  

Besides his loving wife Alice, James is survived by his brother, Joe (Christina) Lorentz; sisters-in-law, Sheila Lorentz, Eileen Gooch, Marg Dahms, Jo Rodney, Harriet (Julian) Nowicki; brothers-in-law, Ken (Judy) Rodney, Bill Rodney, Lloyd (Sheila) Rodney, Wayne (Dawna) Rodney; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

James was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Lorentz; sisters, Pauline Lorentz, Jenny (Mathew) Kuntz; and brother Matt Lorentz.
