Condolences
Diane, I am very sorry to learn you have lost your John. Poolie was my classmate in elementary and high school. Also, in my Cub pack and PW rugby team. I always enjoyed a catch-up with him at the Sunrise Golf, when he was able to attend. I know these past 5 years or so have been difficult for you and your family. John is at peace now. Please accept my condolences to you and your family.
Diane, Lisa and family
Marjie and I are very sorry to hear of John’s passing. He suffered through some tough years that were challenging for all of you. It is good that he is now at peace. He will be greatly missed by you and all his good buddies but he had left you all with many warm, wonderful and happy memories. Our thoughts are with you.

Diane and Family:
Very sorry for you to hear of Poole's passing but happy for him his ordeal is peacefully over. Many fond memories of the always necessary competition, acerbic but good natured commentary, fun and games and the good times. Always enjoyed his company. Even though we haven't seen him for awhile his Pals will miss him.
Rick
Sorry to hear of John’s passing . Thinking of you and your family at this time. Francis and Linda Saville
Dear Poole family,
I wanted to share with you a typical “John” story. I expect I have told one or more of you over the years but it bears repeating. Many years ago I had my two kids out on bikes and bike trailers and was caught at the bottom of the hill in a raging rain storm. Magically John appeared with a van, got out in the rain and loaded us up to take us home. My kids are now 33 and 29….but it has stuck with me.
He will be missed and I am thinking of you all.
To Dianne and family,
Michael and I were sorry to hear of John’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and may John rest In peace.
Michael and Ginny O’Brien-Kelly.
So sorry to hear of John’s passing. He was a wonderful co-worker for many years. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
John was my childhood hero. He always stood up for the youngest kids in our Osler Street gang and we loved him for it! Later years brought great memories of Hamburger hockey and Sunrise invitational golf tournaments. Must be serendipity that our first son was named Stephen John! Diane, Lindy and I send you our love. Rusty
John was my boyhood hero. He always stood up for the younger guys in the Osler Street Gang and we really loved him for it! Many happy memories in later years of Hamburger Hockey League and Sunrise Golf Tournaments. Must be serendipity that my first son is named Stephen John! Diane - Lindy and I send you our love.
So sorry to hear of John’s passing. John was a gregarious and positive person who brought with him good energy. Never shy to express his opinions, he was equally prepared to listen to those of others. The Glencoe (and the locker room!) was diminished when John ceased to be a regular attendee. My sincere condolences to Lisa and the entire Poole family.
Diane So sorry to read about John's passing. I worked with John at Halifax and Aetna insurance. I lived at 30th and Dunbar and on occasions Drove him home after party. He was well respected by us all
Diane, so sorry to read of John's passing. He was a great guy - we had a ton of fun playing hockey for the Elbow Park Team - we went to many tournaments - drank lots of beers !!! Will always remember him

Thank-you Diane and John for the good fun we shared through the years playing together at the Elbow Park Tennis Club. John was a joy to play on the court and always entertaining to be around. Our thoughts are with you Diane and Lisa at this time.

My condolences to the Poole family on the passing of John. I wish I met John, but many of us were fortunate to learn how a great man he was through his daughter Lisa, who has been a strong advocate for his care and the care of many others that the family touched and impacted. Thank you John, Lisa, and the Poole family for what you have done to support many other families without likely realizing it. - Ron B
To the Poole family
I send most sincere condolences to each one! Teaching young Johnnie Poole at Elbow Park School was a special time . I got to know the family and valued that connection! Johnnie was a pleasure to teach with a sense of humour in his smile. Very sorry for the sadness in your family at this time!

Living in Elbow Park was always a joy, our dogs were always welcome by John and his family. Barney was a favourite of all along with John’s humor. He was available for conversation and help with endless patience and care for his friends and neighbours
