December 27, 2021 – Calgary, Alberta

Mesha Antonowich, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021, at the age of 9 years.

Mesha enjoyed spending time outdoors during the summer, doing activities such as swimming, fishing, and boating. He enjoyed music and would dance away. Mesha liked going for walks and spending time with his family. Mesha liked going to school and enjoyed swimming therapy and music therapy, as well as being able to visit with extended family in Manitoba and BC. He also loved being able to feed the giraffes at the zoo. Mesha adored spending time with his dad, mom, sister Oksana, and brother Kyle. Mesha enjoyed the outdoors on a warm summer day. One of his favourite activities were walks in his wheelchair and enjoying time with his friends, and teachers at school. He loved watching Disney movies, also being able to dance away to the music his dad had playing in the car or at home.

Mesha’s most memorable vacations were going to Manitoba to spend time with his Gedo and extended family every year in the fall; being able to go to the zoo and get up close to the animals when he was nine years old in Calgary. Going to BC and seeing his grandma, his uncles, aunts, and cousins in the summer of 2021. Mesha also enjoyed going to the beach during the summer for the last two years.

Besides his loving parents, Svetlana Antonowich of Calgary, AB, and Stacey Antonowich of Strathmore, AB; Mesha is survived by his brother Kyle Ufimtseff, and sister Oksana Antonowich of Calgary, AB. Mesha was also survived by his grandparents, Ernie of Winnipeg, MB, Linda of Sandy Lake, MB, Gailina of Vernon, BC, and Allen of Vernon, BC.

He will be remembered most for the way he danced to music and the amount of love he had for his family. The way he looked at everyone with such love and adoration.
