A good friend, an excellent hockey player, a good all-round sportsman and a damned good soldier. To Jerry's brother and his family, to Heid's family in Germany and to his partner Lynda, I proffer my sincerest, heartfelt condolences. I had the pleasure of speaking with him at Christmas, just before his demise. I have many good memories of Jerry and Heid , especially in Germany in the 70's where he was a member of the best Armed Forces Hockey Club that I had ever had the pleasure to work with in my 20 year's association with senior base team hockey. Condolences also to his teammates, many of whom are still alive. Stand down Jerry Bowes .. your watch is ended. Rest in Peace.
