Condolences
The last few years I was fortunate enough to get closer to Marion and found that she was an amazing woman (I knew that anyway, as my dad married her). Marion was such a kind and loving woman, with a heart of gold. She was always so welcoming to my sons, their wives and I. I miss her laugh and her smile...I'm thankful to have known her and to have received her advice on many different things and occasions.
Love and Miss you Always....

Aunt Marion always took an interest in us nieces and nephews. I have very fond memories of all of us gathering at her house at Christmas to spend some time with her and Uncle Ron.
She will be missed.
I met Marion when I first moved to Calgary to go to U of C in 1977. We had a common love of horses and riding. She took me to Spruce Meadows for a very early version of the fall Masters. It was very basic compared to now - no concessions so she shared her tea. Cold and wet but we were there for the horses so a wonderful experience. I lost track of her over the years and was sorry to read her obituary. I'm glad she had a full life.

I remember as a kid, Aunt Mony picking me up from hockey school, and driving fast (or so I thought) in her mom’s (my grandma’s) white Datsun 510.
My Aunt Mony had a great, heartfelt laugh! I will miss hearing her laugh at me and with me.
Marion had a love for and an interest in her extended family. I remember her enthusiasm for regular outings for us girls – Marion, Arthena, Pauline, Alana, Stephanie and myself. We went out for lunch, to Zoolights, made a pottery item, did a downtown Calgary tour, went out for lunch again and hung out and visited. She always kept in touch with regular emails and phone calls. She and Ron invited us all over for family dinners, and hosted a family picnic at McKenzie Lake.
We will really miss her.
From 101 Mobility Calgary, we extend our deepest condolences to Marion's husband Ron, and their family.
Marion was an amazing mother and grandma. She always made the effort to have her family over for the holidays and have her grandchildren over for the weekends, taking them to Calaway Park and to the movies. Special time between Kaitlyn and Grandma Marion was when she let Kaitlyn do her make up and hair. Kaitlyn and Braydon always loved Grandma's big bath tub, where Grandma was sure to fill with lots of bubbles. Grandma and Grandpa Dick put the kids in horse back riding camp, and hockey camp, always supporting what they loved. Marion was always there to lend a listing ear and give council when asked. Mike and I remember one of her encouraging phrases "Onward and Upward" to encourage us to keep going forward and to look at the bright side of things. We love her dearly and she will be sorely missed.
Love Always,
Amanda, Mike, Kaitlyn, Braydon, Hayden, Mason, Maria & Matteo
I'll miss my dear friend. Back in the day, we spent many evenings solving our problems over a plate of fries and gravy at a 17th Avenue greasy spoon.
I was sad to see the passing of Marion, I will call league pitcher that I worked with at Colonel MacLeod junior high school. We often went for coffee and discussed the use of education in our solutions to it. It was always great to get her positive comments and laughter as part of our get-togethers. Condolences to the family members on the green educator!
It was with great sadness that I learned of Marion's passing. We met professionally and became good friends. Marion had a great sense of humour and impeccable style. Most of all I will always remember her love for her family, which of course included the furry members. I will miss Marion and send my condolences to her family.

Aunt Marion always worked so hard to get the family together. She hosted many many Christmas dinners and I fondly remember her delicious meals, beautifully decorated tree and the special gifts she picked out for each of her grand nieces and nephews. She always took a keen interest in my life and visited me and my children often. More recently, she has brought us countless boxes of diapers and also been extremely generous to my children.
She will be so missed.
