Condolences
Mare, Matthew and families:
I was so saddened to hear of Walter's passing. Your dad was such a wonderful man! The kids and I were always welcomed with open arms at your mom and dad's house, they made us feel like family, and they supported us in so many ways.
I feel privileged to have known him, may he rest in peace alongside your beautiful mom. My deepest condolences on your loss.
Hugs,
Lori, Josh, Jessie and Hanne
Dear Mr. Mazuryk,
We’ve never met, but words cannot express my thanks to you and your wife for raising such a lovely daughter. I work with Mare in San Diego; she sits right next to me and brings not only keen intellect, but also humor and light to our office. Your loss is felt deeply, and my thoughts and prayers are with Mare, Rod, Sydney and Spencer. Arlene Wong
I first met Walt and Joyce back in 1986 when I moved to Calgary with my dad to attend U of C. I joined Alpha Gamma Delta and Mare and I became fast friends. They became second parents to me, especially after my dad moved to White Rock. Even when I moved back to Calgary to get my Masters they were there for me even though Mare was in Halifax. Walt was an endearing and witty man who mixed a mean rye and ginger! He used to tell me that if I was ever in trouble all I had to do was call him and he would come and get him. I loved him very much. Sending all my love to the entire Mazuryk family❤️❤️❤️
Walter was a wonderful, kind, and generous man. At his happiest when his family was around. The man who gave me and the kids a second home in Calgary. One of the hardest working men I have met. I watched him build a massive deck suspended in the air in less than one week by himself in our back yard. Loved by our kids. Walt, you will be missed. I look forward to having a rum and coke with you in heaven. Love you Walt,
Rod
Grandpa was a very special person. He was kind, generous with his time and talents, and above all else dedicated to his family and the people he cared about. Although I did not get to see him as much as I wanted to, especially more recently due to covid, his daily calls always made me feel cared about. The memory of him will forever be a gift to me, as I know it will be to anyone who was lucky enough to get to know him. To grandpa, I love and miss you very much, thank you for everything!

Always remember Uncle Walter teaching me to drive a car ,he was so calm and patient. Even as I ran up a curb in the block I lived . he said very calmly move more over to left on road . Never raising his voice or getting upset with me .
My thoughts and prayers go out to
Mary-Ellen and family and Matthew and family
Uncle Walter was always greatly respected in the family. He was so very proud of his family, his children, and the homes he built in Calgary and Gull Lake. He made the best raspberry jam out of the fresh raspberry patch in his garden. He was proud of the children he helped with tutoring, the volunteer work he did. He was always supportive of family and we felt his love and care with every visit. I'll miss Uncle Walter so much. He was such a strong and supportive man. Love to Mare, Matt and their families.
