Condolences
As a little kid, sneaking over to her house on my way home from school almost every day for "Jam-Jam" cookies. She was also my "Calgary Mom" when I was there for school in my late teens/early twenties, spent almost every weekend there for many months.
I will miss her like I miss my own Mom. I hope they are together "up there" and enjoying a drink together. Perhaps they will laugh together at my misadventures?
Miss you, Auntie Wanda.
Aunty Wanda was always so kind to our family. She supported Mom and helped her in so many ways. She had such a nice smile and was very kind hearted. I remember when we first started driving to Calgary, that I was so excited knowing I was able to stay at Aunty Wanda's house, 'cause she was so cool and so was the house!
As the years went on, I always remember when I would go over to her house, there was always a pot of coffee on and she would make sure she would stop whatever she was doing to sit down and have a chat.
After our girls were a bit older, she would ask that they come over and she would take them out for a ice cream or some other treat. The girls still remember that even though they were quite young.
I will always remember our Aunty Wanda!
Love,
Sandra, Dave, Michelle, Ada Perkins
Our deepest sympathies for the loss of your Mom. She was always a pistol, especially when she and my Mom were together, their infectious laughter would always fill the room. The kindness, laughter, generousity, and love of your Mom and my "MotherGod" will not be forgotten She, and you, are in our thoughts & prayers.

Spent enough time with Wanda to feel like I knew her. She was great! Really nice woman..sorry to lose her.... Peter Canter
So very sorry to learn that Wanda passed away. She was a warm and wonderful human being who was loved by all that knew her. I had a serious case of hero worship as a child and went so far as to chose her name for my confirmation. She was endlessly kind and loving to all who knew her and she always and forever will have a corner of my heart. Rest in peace Aunty!
I remember when I first met Aunt Wanda, I thought she was so modern and attractive, like a movie star. Great, I said to myself, we’re going to have this really cool and kind person in our family. As the decades passed my opinion never altered; she just got more interesting, and I came to appreciate her open mind and generous spirit more fully. There must be a very large number of people who have benefited from knowing her. What a profound loss for her family—my heart goes out to them. Allister
The first time I met Wanda was when Joel was coaching my son’s volleyball team. I immediately noticed how stylish she was! We chatted and I enjoyed our conversation and her sense of humor. You could tell how much she loved Joel and how proud she was. We got to spend more time with her over the years and our family always enjoyed time spent together. Keely your mom was a lovely woman and we will miss her sweet nature. We are so sorry for your loss.
Carla, Allan and Keegan Simpson.
