Condolences
Dear cousins:
We just heard of Aunt Vena’s passing. We are sad but joyful at the same time that she has gone “home”.
You all know she was a great, funny, fiesty and generous women and we all knew that as well. She is going to be truly missed by all. We all have many fun memories of Aunt Vena and usually it was around “sweets”. Please take care of each other, as she would have wanted. Hugs Debbie & Daryl
Rest in peace Alvina! Condolences to Alvina's family, I will miss seeing you all at the Bethany! Take Care.
Our sincere sympathy to all of Alvena's family. She was such a kind and friendly lady.
To Vena's Family,
Sadness among all who love her; yet joy that Vena is now experiencing her wonderous spiritual 'homecoming'! My memories go back to the 1950s of Vena shopping in our Beiseker grocery store usually accommodating more energetic children than groceries in the cart, yet with calmness, control and her warm sense of humour that seemed made it look so easy. Having the opportunity to visit in Airdrie and recall with laughter, some of these early stories, now always with the gratitude of her acceptance of her life. Vena always gifted me too with her 'presence' and her compassion. How could I not feel like one of her beloved kids?
Warmest regards to each of you.

Our deepest condolences to you all. Caring thoughts are with you. Vena was a gem!
Vena you were such a special dear friend for so many years.
I couldn't have picked a better neighbor when I moved to Beiseker and lived across the street from you . I still remember that orangy / gold patterned velour couch!! So many fun times in that house and so many laughs....quite the entertaining crew you raised !! Who knew that one day I would be renting that house from you years later!
It was so nice when you moved to Airdrie and we could visit once again.
You were always such a great hostess ...treats!!!
Then you made another move in Airdrie to Bethany and we were able to spend even more time together .I really loved hanging out with you, talking , laughing ,enjoying sing alongs and activities in the auditorium and going for walks .You made sure I had some of the many treats you had stashed in your drawers and always sent one home with me for Michel.
It was fun when we went to Val and Kathy's and made kucha , and you were a master at it!
You were small but mighty, feisty and fun...always thoughtful and caring about everyone, and always enjoyed gatherings where there was family , friends and laughter!!
Lover of chocolate chip cookies , ice cream, pudding, chocolate and basically all treats!
One more very special thing I won't forget is you always said I was like one of your kids, that meant so much to me.
You will be very missed my friend.
Rest easy now ...
Wendy and Michel Contant
