Obituary of John Walter Joseph Mudry

John Mudry of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the age of 83 at Father Lacombe Care Centre.

John was born and raised in Calgary.  His fondest memories were playing baseball and basketball.   John and Jean brought up their two children in the Calgary Community of Braeside, where both were active members in the community.  John coached his daughters t-ball and baseball teams for several years.  He was always at his son’s baseball, hockey practices and games. John enjoyed watching Stampede Wrestling and later the WWE.

John will be dearly missed by his wife of over 61 years, Jean; his daughter LeaAnne (Scott) Van Den Bussche of Calgary; his son Darryl (Izabela) Mudry, and grandkids Daniel and Catelina of Surrey, BC; his older brother Arthur Mudry and his children Leah, Brent, and Lynn all of Vancouver, BC; dear cousin Roseanne (Larry) Erickson of Calgary, as well as numerous other cousins, nieces, and nephews.   John always had a special place in his heart for dear friends Susan, Ron Wall of St. Louise, and were adoptive grandparents to their son Austin.

John was predeceased by his parents Mary and John Mudry.
