I was deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of Pat. She was a warm and friendly lady who always made me feel welcomed in her home. Without question the time-worn jokes about the dreaded mother-in-law most certainly did NOT apply to her. Pat and husband Tom were kind and generous, wonderful parents and outstanding grandparents. I have many fond memories of time spent with them in Barrie and, in particular, the island cottage on Lake Kawigamog. Very sincerest condolences to Terri, Chris, Tim and David, as well as my son Christopher and daughter Shauna on the loss of their beloved mother and grandmother respectively. … Dave McCartney
