Obituary of Robert Buchanan

August 6, 1928 - Glasgow, Scotland

January 26, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Robert (Bob) Buchanan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the age of 93. Bob will be joining his beloved wife of 64 years, Betty.

Bob worked at Dominion Bridge for over forty years, working his way off the shop floor to increasingly senior management positions. Bob lived life to the fullest through travel, volunteering, and family. Bob’s memory lives on through the many stories he shared with friends and family.

Bob was a wonderful father to daughter Cathy (Rob Lindsey) of Huntington Beach, California; two sons Ian (Chris) of Calgary AB; and Douglas (Marion Lefebvre) of Montreal, QC; and a doting Poppa to grandchildren Will, Anna, Jeffrey, Alison, Christian, Dominique, and Isabelle.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Buchanan’s service streamed live at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9K_WVpmZsFlkqXGTmfZQvw/featured.
