Dear Marilyn, Lindsay and Boys,
I am so sorry for your loss. Was just remembering when Aaron spent the weekend with us for the family reunion in Fort St John and how awesome it was to meet him. I know his family will miss him and wish you all the best.

Sincere condolences go out to Marilyn, Linette, Mason, Nixon, Ronin & Lindsey and the rest of Aaron's family and friends. With deepest sympathy, someone so special, will not be forgotten, wonderful memories will live on forever. Thank you for sharing Aaron’s celebration with us. Eldon, Alissa and Aleigha Riley.
Aaron and I were friends and coworkers at Suncor for almost 10 years. Aaron helped get me hired, shortly before the twins were born. He trained and mentored me, and we became good friends. Later when Aaron got on the Fort Hills project, he knew of my interest in working a FIFO schedule, because my wife is from Phoenix and we wanted to return home. When an opportunity came up, he made me aware of it and was helpful in me getting on that Project with him.
Aaron and I traveled back and forth together, had dinner in camp, and always looked out for each other. Anytime I had a question or needed help, I called Aaron, and he always answered and helped me. Regardless of how busy he was, he always made the time for me, and never made me feel like I was bothering him. I am sure many others that we worked with would say the same thing!
Aaron loved sports and snowboarding. A few years ago, he took a couple of days and came down to stay with us at our place in Phoenix. We played golf, went to a Coyotes game and a Spring Training game. We had a great time together, and it was nice to unwind after a long shift at Fort Hills. We were looking forward to doing that again, once the travel restrictions were lifted.
Aaron had many friends at Suncor and was very well liked and respected by all of his coworkers. He was intelligent and knowledgeable, and was always willing to share his experience and help others to ensure that not only did the job get done, but it was done well. In talking with many of our mutual friends and coworkers, all of us are in shock and deeply saddened by the news of his passing! He will be missed, tremendously!
One thing we all knew is how much Aaron loved his family and his boys! He kept pictures of them on his desk, and was always telling us about them and what was going on in their lives. He was clearly very proud of them!
My Sincere condolences go out to Mason, Nixon, Ronin, Lindsey, Marilyn, Linette, Cory, and the rest of Aaron's family and friends. I know this is a very difficult time for everyone.
I will miss Aaron and am thankful that he and I crossed paths and became friends. I am also very appreciative of all he's done for me throughout the years! That is the kind of person he was. Always willing to help.
Sincerely,
Brent Kelly
When Dennis sent me an email advising me of Aaron's passing, my heart sunk...what a pleasure it was for me to get to know Aaron and his family...coaching hockey doesn't last long enough when we get to spend time with people like Aaron...my condolences to Marilyn and Lynette and the entire family...RIP Aaron...pitch another shutout!!!!
My heart sincerely goes out to Mason, Nixon, Ronin, Lindsey, Marilyn, Linette and Cory. Please accept my warmest condolences.
I was very fortunate to work with Aaron when I first started at Suncor in the Performance Analysis and Reporting department. Aaron was down to earth, respectful and reliable in everything he did and everyone he worked with. He was always generous with his time and substantial knowledge. Aaron had a great rapport with his work mates / colleagues and was well respected. I really enjoyed working with Aaron and I missed our snowboarding talks and his cheeky smile when he moved onto another role.
Aaron will be fondly remembered.
Lindsey, Mason, Nixon, Ronin and extended family, please accept my most sincere condolences and wishes that you all can find some comfort as you deal with your loss.
Rest easy Aaron.
Marilyn, Lynette and family our thoughts and prayers are with you May the many warm memories you have of Aaron comfort all of you during this difficult time.
Special people come into our lives and are never forgotten. In coaching Hockey for over forty years there are players that stay forever in your heart and are always top of mind. Whether it’s their talent, their intensity, their desire , their leadership, the respect of the team mates or the joy that they brought to the room for every game, every practice every team event. Aaron brought this incredible joy, talent, happiness and love of the game to every practice, game, or tournament. He was admired, respected and appreciated by his teammates and my coaching staffs
Rest In Peace Aaron, you will always be in our hearts
Too many wonderful memories to share of the old hockey days…my sincere condolences to the family .

I had the opportunity to work with Aaron at fort hills with suncor. Aaron taught me so much about systems and procedures. Truly a kind man with great knowledge of supply chain. Just a very genuine person. I was looking forward to working with him once again at Jansen site. This is such sad news. I am truly sorry to Lindsey, his boys and extended family for your loss. My heartfelt condolences to all of you. I am sure he will be deeply missed.
Aaron and I reconnected this past fall after over 20 years. We discovered we still shared a soul. We talked for hours at a time. He convinced me to pick up my camera again for hockey photography, and I will carry on for him. I wear his #33 on a tattoo on my wrist as a permanent reminder.
To All of Aaron's Family
I was beyond sad when I received the call to let me know of Aaron's passing. We were blessed to have him as part of our family home while he played for the Swift Current Broncos, best goalie ever. While living with us we learned to love him as our own, so kind, respectful and full of fun. He remained within the family's love over the years, my heart is breaking for Lindsay and the boys.
We have so many amazing memories of our time with Aaron, we will send them on to his family. We will miss and love you always Aaron.
