This saddened me today. Sister Jeanne was my Grade 3 teacher and taught at the Wilcox Elementary school with my Dad for years. I have many memories of her from my childhood in Wilcox. Christmas concert conducting, cursive writing lessons, chasing kids on the playground to give them a little discipline, sensible shoes, church events, and her quiet polite demeanour outside of the classroom. She was one of a kind for sure. I imagine her and my Dad having a cup of coffee and catching up today somewhere in a heavenly staff room. Rest Easy Sister Jeanne. My sincerest condolences to her family.
Our prayers to her family and her Sisters of Charity of St. Louis. Sister Jeanne taught all four of our children and with the wonderful start she gave them in school they never looked back. She was strict but kind and caring. And everyone of our kids couldn’t wait to be taller than Sr. Jeanne. She lived amongst us and through her dedication, her faith, her example of how to live she influenced a generation of families. How thankful we are that she was a presence in our lives. Our sympathies. Jerry & Norah Scheibel
