Darlene’s positive and warm ‘spirit’ will endure and having worked in the same area over many years, I know she will be missed by many colleagues and clients.
May the life she led keep the many memories of her inspire another generation, despite her premature departure from her loved ones.
Be at peace Darlene.

Brian,
My sincerest condolences. I am so saddened to hear of Darlene's passing. I will miss talking art with Darlene and most of all going through the gift shop giggling with Darlene to pick gifts that you would later come and purchase for her. You were truly a special couple and I will miss the wonderful woman I was starting to get to know over the years. I will miss seeing her at the auctions, in the shop or just popping by to talk. I wish you all the love and support through this difficult time. Rest Peacefully Darlene

Brian, I have so many fond memories of Darlene in your backyard. I was always so fascinated by both your beautiful plantings. Darlene would point out and describe all the flowers and plants in your yard. My inner self always wanted to garden and Darlene always inspired me that I could one day try. I thought it so cute that you and Darlene had a little competition going about who’s flower beds were the best. Darlene was always up for a nice long chat about plants, fitness, her family, your trips away, and the art she collected. She was a fountain of fascinating information. I loved her big smile, her big laugh and her love of life. Damn COVID, we were so past due having that glass of bubbly in her cozy corner of the yard. She will be missed. My kids really loved her too, she always said hi and asked about them. She was such a kind person. My sincere condolences Brian.

Brian, I am still in shock, please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. I worked with Darlene at the University of Calgary, we had offices next to each other for many years. We often talked about our families, our heritage, culture, and naturally, as we both were passionate about travelling, we shared our experiences. I will never forget her heartfelt laugh, which really came from the soul. Darlene was a strong woman and she certainly believed in just for all.

Brian,
The news of Darlene's passing was quite the shock, so hard to believe. I have so many good memories of her from random meetings around campus, to dinner out in the city, to parties at your home and to wedding events. I fondly remember her as a strong and knowledgeable woman with a great personality. I know I learnt so many things about life from her.
I think most of all, she had a laugh that I can hear and a look that I can see as I write this...
She will be missed but remembered by so many !
Our thoughts are with you and all of Darlene's family,
Ian, Kathy, Ben & Sarah

Brian I am so sorry to hear of Darlene's passing. We worked together for quite a number of years and she was always so dedicated to her work and didn't hesitate to show it. To Darlene's siblings - one of my many memories was how we would talk about our big families and she would recite the names of all from top to bottom. Starting with the D's and I don't think she ever said them out of order but she said them fast. She had a heart of gold and I am so very very sorry for your loss. RIP Darlene.
