Condolences
Mr Bowler was a great dad to my dear friend and I was always welcomed at their dinner table on Sunday afternoons with a few jokes and great banter. Recently, I spoke about Mr Bowler as I recalled him telling me why he took his kids and their friends skiing (Fortress, at the time). He said it was quality family time in the car and on the lifts without distraction. The beauty of the conversation 30 years ago, is that it influenced my family as we ski almost every weekend and I think "this is great family time without distraction." Mr Bowler put his faith and family first and my family is stronger due to his example. What a blessing to know our faith will reunite us with our loved ones again!
Mr. Bowler was my Boys Brigade leader at SCCC. He was the friendly giant, helping us with everything from building toolboxes for our Dads (Rudy still has it!), to frying an egg on tinfoil at camp, to the memorization of our weekly scripture verses. He has left a legacy - spiritually and otherwise - on more than we know. Andrea, Brianna, Melody and I are praying for your family as you grieve this painful but temporary loss. We know he is waiting in heaven to greet you once again! Praise the Lord!
What an amazing and wonderful man of God. Mr. Bowler always had a smile for me and a word of encouragement, I loved the “sparkle” of Jesus he always had in his eyes. My prayers go out to the family and we all have peace knowing that he is safe in the arms of Jesus. Much love to the whole family.

Having shared many a moment across the fence, on adjoining yards and driveways and while relaxing on the backyard deck... Wes, you have left an indelible impression on our lives... two generations of the Kukec clan will forever cherish having you in our lives.
For those of us that remain we carry you in our hearts, whether in Vancouver or Belize, or wherever life may takes us from here … and then as well, from those who predeceased you, the Pearly Gates know of only loving thoughts and the kindest of words with respect to their most cherished of neighbors...
Having shared many a rich conversation, and the occasional slivovitz... we considered you the dearest of friends.... and with intent we never quite finished off the bottle, leaving some for another day... and now we long for that day!
For the family left behind we send our most heartfelt condolences and loving hugs... wishing you all the strength to navigate this most daunting of times...
With love,
The Kukec Clan
PS. Eternally grateful, no matter the miles that separate, that we had occasion to to chat but a few short weeks ago...
While it has been a long while since we've seen Wes his memory is burned in our minds and hearts. It was fun to get together whether because of church ministry or just as part of a group who shared faith, family and church. Our hearts and our prayers are with you Kathie. We are so glad that you have such wonderful children who are and will continue to be there for you. They are also in our prayers.
Ben, Lindy, Leo and Issac,
We had the pleasure of meeting Wes at Ben and Lindy’s wedding…he was a very nice man and it was so obvious how much he loved his family and how proud he was of them. We are so sorry to hear of his passing. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers as you navigate through this difficult time.
With heartfelt Love and Sympathy,
Love Sharon and Steve

So sorry to learn about this. He was such a kind man who gave the best hugs.
Sincere condolences Kathy & family.
I only had the pleasure of meeting Wes 4 times but those memories will always be ones I will remember with a smile on my face. His laughter & smile reminded me so much of my own father whose name was Wesson. I remember laughing with Kathy over the similarities they had. Both country men, both tinkers & both devoted to their families and helping others. Nothing was more enjoyable than a good sunny day and a smile on ones face. My sincere condolences to yourself, your 3 children & all the grandchildren. My God keep you wrapped in his arms and comfort you & your family in the days to come. Hugs.

Our condolences to you Kathy and your family, we have lost track over the years but then they go by so quickly it seems. Supposed to enjoy our “golden” years but Wes’s was cut short. Hold your memories in your heart and your family close! Richard and Thelma (Kindopp) Nagel
